The Bath hotel is solid but unspectacular, it is an old style building so some rooms are not massive. There is a railway close by but good windows meant it did not affect sleep quality. The Attic Room though is perfect for a family of four , though there are stairs in to the room so be aware for younger children.... More

We stayed for one night Sunday into bank holiday Monday. Room was a good size, however the curtains were falling apart on the rail so wouldn't close properly. Bathroom needed a good scrub and the electric shower was a bit pathetic with gaping holes around the unit where it had been fitted. We arrived for breakfast one minute after 9am... More

It looked as we expected from the outside when we arrived. Once let in to the hotel we waited for the man on reception to finish his phone conversation and the continue talking to someone waiting in the reception area. Whilst waiting at first glance all looked OK. The man was polite and explained where our room was and when... More

We used the family room in the attic which was delightful. Comprising of two rooms, these were really well appointed and quite charming. Although approached by a steep stair that was a little daunting for this disabled person it was well worth the climb! There is a disability friendly family room so next time we will book this.

An ok hotel for an overnight stay but think it's very over-priced. The hotel is very tired looking and needs up-dating. The hotel is situated out of town so is a little inconvenient if you don't drive and taxis do not come cheap!

Bath Hotel not as expected but saying that it was adequate for our needs. Bedroom was small but clean and had plenty of coffee, tea supplies. The shower was so small my partner wouldn't attempt to try and get in it. The gentleman on reception was very pleasant and obliging, order our taxi for us. We didn't make use of... More

Today on my walk home from reading town centre I decided to stop at the Bath Hotel to see if I could get a drink as a walk in customer. The door was locked as I tried it so I moved on, when voice behind me said can I help you. A pretty young lady had opened the door and... More

Room was shabby and small. Hotel smelt stale and musty. Bed was hard and uncomfortable, no sound proofing kept awake by people coming and going and talking. Booked with booking.com and understood breakfast to be included but it wasnt were told to pay for it in the morning, not friendly people, no one on desk when we booked out. had... More

Stayed here ahead of a canoeing trip from Cholsey to Henley. Ideal for a rest stop - basic rooms and very clean. Breakfast was good and hearty - cereal, fruit and fry-ups on offer. Good links to bus services to Reading station. Nice little place!
