Paid £50 for a single room. Room is nicer than travelodge and staff are friendly. Decor is nice actually, and not depressing like some cheap places. Walls are somewhat thin and it's close to a rail line, but I didn't find either too bad. Can't beat it for the price! :-)

My OH stayed here on business...twice he had trouble with the shower and couldnt get any hot water,,the radiators didnt work .The staff were pleasant and helpful enough when he could find them but there didnt seem to be anyone around most of the time.

This is a cheap and cheerful hotel. It's what you would expect for the money in Reading. Bathroom could perhaps do with a refurb but room itself was warm and clean. Very little traffic noise although at front of hotel facing on to A4. Breakfast ok and plentiful. Staff pleasant.
