We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights in July on business. The staff were really friendly and helpful and the hotel is immaculately clean. We have stayed in a few hotels in Reading and some are awful this is the best by far and very reasonably priced for that area. The bedrooms are spacious and there is a lovely... more

Having weighed up the £100+ options of average chain hotels in Reading, I decided to go for this value option at £75, including parking, breakfast and free WiFi (these can easily add up to £30 at chain hotels...) The previous reviews for Beech House put me at ease, and I felt confident about going for this. Unfortunately, there were a... more

We stayed one night as it was near to a business appointment for me.On entering it looks quite grand and the public area's appeared well decorated, but what a dissappoinment when we entered the room it was like something from a 1960's B&B. The wardrobes consisted of a few shelves and poles and a curtain to pull across, the rest... more

Stayed here for three nights in one if the luxury King Sized bedrooms in the main house. The room was lovely and clean and rooms also come with free Wi-Fi which was excellent. The breakfast was also excellent and freshly cooked. The hotel is on quite a busy road but foung traffic noise no problem. It is only 10 minutes... more

I stayed for one night on a work trip. It's a lovely buiding set back from the main road. The staff are really friendly and helpful and my room was a really good size with a big comfortable bed and great shower. Very clean with a few nice touches. The breakfast was plentiful with a good choice of cold buffet... more

Reading other reviews here of Beech House, you'd get the idea that it's some kind of other-worldly experience. It's nice but far from exceptional, in my opinion. I stayed for 3 nights in a good-sized and comfortable room (15) that managed to avoid the English hotel disease of over heating. Facing the rear garden, it was also quiet and a... more

When at night you get back to the hotel you really feel like coming back home. My adviceis: if you are going... more

The Beech House Hotel is a small hotel on the main road 2 miles from the M5 into Reading. The post code on Tom Tom does not find it correctly, which we will report to Tom Tom. Michael was very kind to direct us via mobile/cell while we traveled further than anticipated down Bath Road. We were welcomed with a... more

Stayed at Beech House Hotel for four night while visiting Reading for business. It was a pleasant surprise. The hotel is run by the gentleman who owns the place, and he really does put an effort into making you welcome and comfortable. The room I stayed in was nice and clean, with a large king size bed and all the... more

I've now given up trying to find a decent hotel in Basingstoke for my occasional overnights in that area, and so decided that Reading was close enough but might offer more of a choice in accommodation. On the basis of the TripAdvisor reviews I booked this hotel at short notice. An indication of the way this place runs was when... more
