Have stayed at this property many times and have always enjoyed a consistent standard of service. Superbly decorated and extremely comfortable, great breakfasts and wonderful hosts. Located only an hour away from Heathrow makes it ideal for overnight er's prior to early morning flights. Close to transport into Reading Centre or a brisk 20-30 minute walk. Very quiet and off... Colleagues and I were attending a conference at a large hotel on the outskirts of Reading, but couldn't afford the extortionate room rate, so scouted round for a better value alternative and discovered Beech House. And what a find it was! Original Victorian features, comfortable and well equipped rooms, quiet location despite being on the A34 and great breakfasts. All... More

Love the old mansion updated to our era but keeping LOTS of old charm, including and especially TALL windows across the front of our room covered with heavy velvet curtains. There was a water/pipes sound that was quite persistent, but we certainly could tune it out when we closed the bathroom door and tucked ourselves into our comfy beds. It... More

We came to visit my sister again in Tilehurst and there was only 1 hotel to even consider, this one. We had one of the rooms at the front but could not hear the road noise. The room was very spacious, 2 lovely arm chairs and what a big bed. The bed was very very comfortable just as all the... More

lovely old house, well decorated with very comfortable public areas. very helpful staff. Strongly recommended. A bit away from the center of town and the local restaurants are only fair. you need a bus or taxi to get into the center. 20 min walk or 7 pound taxi.

I visited this hotel just after the August Bank holiday. It's based on Bath Rd. One of the main trunk routes. However once inside there is no traffic noise whatsoever. The rooms are spacious and extremely comfy. The English Breakfasts are quality ingredients and well cooked. Great service in both reception and the dining room.. Nice garden at the back.... More

This is one of the best small hotels we have stayed in. Lovely old house, in good decorative order. Very comfortable bedroom on the ground floor where we were able to have our dogs with us. Breakfasts were well cooked with plenty of choice. Very friendly owners who were very welcoming and during our stay all the staff were very... More

Stayed one night and the place was clean and the shower worked well. Ali who attended to us was most helpful and we appreciated his assistance. The only let down was tthe quality of the breakfast and coffee which was not up to standard.

Excellent welcome, attentive and courteous staff, very well appointed and shows of the attention to detail. The breakfast offerings were good and over 4 days did not disappoint. The location is great for visits to London, Windsor, Henley-on-Thames and a short walk into reading town center.
