Looks like this place has rooms of different standards. My family stayed there and I was a bit anxious having read the reviews but they had a room in the back which turned out to be quiet and light even if not massive. Beds and towels were clean. Just seems to be that your experience depends on which room you... More

Boiler was broken - no hot water. Toilet hadn't been cleaned. Room at front overlooking main road and only single glazing so couldn't sleep. Limited parking.

Prices: They are on the cheaper side Location: is good, major things are nearby Noise: Yes lots of it, from the road as well as from your neighbours (Walls are paper thin) Staff: Did not had much interaction, check-in was quick Cleanliness: Hotel itself is clean, but room cleaning needs to improve Room: I got one on the 1st floor,... Disinterested staff on reception. Every floorboard creaks Had a single room, clean, tidy with Hairdryer, TV, kettle and Free Wi Fi ++for that. Advertises it has bar and restaurant - Sorry, serving 1 bottled brand of lager from a fridge does not make a bar. The restaurant is a nasty Italian restaurant, the food is poor and service poorer.

Hotel location is good. I did not need to interact with the staff much which for me is positive. Room cleaning could be more thorough (stains on wall). Wifi was excellent. I was on the first floor from the side of the busy road, there is some noise but I had no trouble sleeping.

first night couldn't sleep because of heating appliances noises, shower so small I couldn't even wash myself, the only window faced a heater puffer room in the backyard. changed the room, noticed a weird smell, I thought someone smoked even it was a no -smoking room. couldn't sleep again because it rained (not unusual in UK) and a huge drip... I stayed here for one night prior to a business meeting the following day. This is a budget hotel with very limited facilities and in a tricky location, it's cheap and clean but nothing else. The traffic in Reading is appalling and getting to the hotel from Slough (20 miles) took 1 hour 20 mins and the 3 mile trip... More

We chose this place as we wanted an apartment for our last two nights in the UK. It looks like a "dive" from the outside and inside isn't that much better. The carpet looks like it came straight out of a public bar with all the lovely stains you'd expect. The same goes for the overhead exhaust fan, no lights... More

Nice hotel situated in heart of Reading town center. Train station only 10 mins. walk away, with all Reading town attractions, Oracle shopping mall, Hexagon [Theatre] all easily within walking distance of hotel, there are numerous restaurants, convenience stores, all around the hotel. Within easy reach of Henley, High Wycombe, and access to M1 motorway.Rooms have modern bathroom with shower... More

Looked like a crap place from the outside, but inside we were suprised. Was clean, fresh smelling, amazing amazing shower, air con. The only downside was it's noisy - Walls are paperthin so could hear our neighbours word for word. Also we paid £150 as it was the Reading festival season which is way way too much for this type...
