Conveniently located for visiting Reading Uni - literally 5 mins drive. Large free car park. Comfortable family size room. Located next to perfect family friendly "cheap & cheerful" pub. Not the sort of place I'd recommend visiting for romantic dinner but family of 4 ate for less than £30 ! Only problem was pub advertised breakfast but wasn't open at... More

I vowed never to use travel lodge again after many different disaster stays but based on the adverts on TV i good at Reading. The out side and car park was a bit of a mess but generally the hotel was OK. Nothing special but clean and quiet. Had a problem with getting a wifi code which was never resolved... More

Very comfortable bed & pillows, clean & nicely decorated room, we would happily stay again & recommend to family & friends. Ideally situated for shops, m4 motorway, Flowers in the rooms would be a nice touch too

I have been to this Travelodge on a number of occasions and it has always been acceptably average. Unusually with this particular hotel I have always found something missing like a remote control, dirty cups, missing toilet paper, missing towel or missing soap. There is always something. I have reported these issues to reception and it has always been painful... More

The rooms were reasonably clean, and the staff very pleasant. The bed wasn't made properly, just the duvet pulled over a rumpled sheet. The wasn't a bathmat in the bathroom, although it was a non slip floor. There isn't a lift, so don't know what disabled travelers would do.

Not much to report really, you get what you pay for £29, the room was OK, the location (near University) was good. The hotel itself was behind a busy pub where you could get a very cheap but basic Carvery meal (£35 for 4 including drinks) and breakfast from about 99p. The pub opened at 9am for breakfast. The room... More

We recommend this Travelodge for a short stay in Reading. We found the staff polite and helpful, and our room clean and quiet. There is a carvery restaurant next door and other more individual restaurants within a short drive 15-20 min walk, Would stay here again.

We used this for a recent visit to see London Irish play Saracens at the Madjeski Stadium. The hotel had ample parking and we were able to park there prior to our 3 o'clock check in. A simple 1 mile walk to the stadium via a retail park that contained the main 3 food outlets, Mc.d's, KFC & a Pizza... More

Stayed here for 2 nights and it was a surprisingly nice stay. Staff were friendly and rooms were nice and cool compared to other travelodges I've stayed in. Rooms have been upgraded and the bed was very comfy. Just off the M5 but far enough away so you can't hear it. 2 supermarkets nearby which was handy for picking up... More

Clean rooms, well maintained, and plenty of parking. The staff were very polite and helpful. It is in a good location not far from the motorway, although no road noise, and very close to Reading centre. We would definitely stay there again. It is next to a crowne carvery, which does a buffet breakfast cheaply and the staff there are... More
