This hotel gets a lot of bad reviews here, but my wife and I had business in town, and it was actually much better than expected, given the price and their target market. The hotel is not brand-new and the lobby carpets look shabby, but the room I stayed in was recently renovated and very clean. There are no phones,... More

Right place, right price, friendly staff, very clean rooms but shabby and dated. In short, a budget hotel that has slipped a bit. We have stayed in a far worse Travelodge. Our bathroom ceiling was stained by mould, the bed was like sleeping on a jelly and they want £3 to park in the hotel car park (which is clearly... More

The staff are very friendly both at reception and the next morning at breakfast. I would be tempted to say that you get what you pay for but even at their rates you should expect better. There is free wifi but only in reception. Very minimalist room with thin rough towel, TV remote didn't work, toilet flush ditto, peeling paint,... More

this looks like a normal travelodge from the outside but once inside it is clearly not. Gaffa tape on the carpets, dark stains on the walls, wallpaper missing, old card readers for entry and exit which seem to decide to stop working after 8pm. Old worn out decor in the room and bathroom, missing bits of floor tile, peeling paint... More

We called in here on the last Saturday in May 2013 on the off chance they had a room available for the night but were told they were full. Thank goodness they were. As we were desperate for the loo we asked if we could use the toilets before we left and were shown through to the public toilets. I... More

It's a Travelodge at the end of the day. Very basic, and very tired looking inside. It's clean enough, but I won't be making another visit. Ordered breakfast there, only to have it refunded on the morning I was due to eat as they had a problem with the toaster. (I'm not sure why this would affect the entire breakfast... More

£3.oo to park overnight !!!! cheap but very very basic if you don't mind shabby then this is the place for you !! clean but would not stay again. Didn't eat here so have no comment on food. Location good but this dose not make up for the hotel find somewhere else to stay is my recommendation.

Stayed as a base for a works night out. The room is very basic even for a cheap lodge rate. In desperate need of updating. Very thin pillows and only 3 in a room for double occupancy. Bathroom in need of a lick of paint etc

This place is a utter bin, and probably the worst maintained place I've every stayed in. It's so bad I'll never stay in a Travelodge again, a list of the issues: Peeling wallpaper Stained carpets Damp patches around the windows and walls A bathroom that was so bad my wife couldn't bring herself to use the shower And the car... Cheap accommodation has become a habit of mine - I'm much happier saving my money for other things, but I've got to say that the Travelodge on the Oxford Road has taken budget travel to a new low. Unclean, unfriendly, badly run. Worst travelodge I've ever stayed in and one of the worst accommodations full stop. When I arrived I... More
