A second visit to this lovely hotel did not disappoint. Friendly reception, comfortable room - where we were lucky to watch 2 swans on the river performing their courting ritual - great gym and spa - fab massage thanks! - delicious breakfast. Would not hesitate in recommending for a break in Reading - the centre is within easy walking distance.

Superb location by the river. Greeted by attentive staff. Lobby area is large and merges with bar/restaurant areas, making it seem very open. Car park is close by secured and free but if you park then check in then go back for your bags/suitcases REMEMBER to ask for the code for the pedestrian gate! Rooms are well decorated, super comfy... The rooms were clean, nice decor, air con worked great as did wifi. The food was not so good, ordered the burger and was brought out a curry. Then had to wait for 20minutes, ok, not in a rush, so no real issue. When burger brought out, was not cooked correctly and dripping with blood. It was now too late... More

This hotel is smart and nice. The staff are good, just make sure they remember to give you the code for the car park (its got electric locked gates to access by foot or car, so you can't get IN to your car once parked, nor can you get your car OUT without the code!). The room was good (blackout... More

The hotel is perfectly situated close to the Railway Station and the centre. Secure parking is just next to the hotel great for leaving the car and walking. The room was very good and clean and no noise from outside which was great for a peaceful night. We only ate in the hotel for breakfast but this was very good... More

Just got back from a night at the Crowne Plaza and wish we'd stayed for a week. Very welcoming with great staff, great service and excellent value for money. The food is fresh and well prepared and my only negative is the slightly restrictive menu. Not that there's a shortage of choice though. For me, I'd like to see another... More

I was working at Reading over Easter and had two separate stays, the first over the Easter weekend and then two nights the following weekend. The first stay I was on the front of the hotel and had a twin bedded room which was low level, but annoying, noisy from traffic noise from the road outside. Being twin bedded I... More

We stayed at the hotel for two nights. It has lots of parking in a securely gated car park, with coded exit. Checkin was swift and smooth,no queuing .The room was clean, comfortable and tastefully decorated. Breakfast was very good, a nice choice and the hot food was actually hot as it should be. The public areas bar etc are very... More
