Popped in for a quick late lunch with my partner, so cannot vouch for accommodation, but food was lovely. Fresh and very tasty, with a lovely side salad garnish. Do not often see posh cheese on toast, but it was scrummy, and the bacon and brie toastie had a big thumbs up too ! Priced very well, and waiter was... More

Woodstock was the perfect location for an overnight stop on our way home from London. The Blenheim Buttery was fab and suited our needs brilliantly. Lovely peaceful room overlooking the village square. Sweet little ensuite bathroom which suited our needs perfectly, with loo, wash hand basin and shower. Good nights sleep and a great GREAT breakfast. The next morning we... More

I've never stayed here so can't vouch for the accommodation but i've often visited for coffee and cakes and the occasional full English when diet allows. Always impressed with the service, the staff are friendly and the food, well cooked and well presented. A loyalty card gives you the tenth coffee free which is a whole lot of coffee but... More

Arrived and was shown to a not unpleasant but very dated ( i don't mean old) room. And we were offered stale cakes. The carpets we stained in the hallway. Had a good nights sleep, but on waking found we had slept on a very badly stained mattress. The staff were very understanding and passed me on to the owner... More

Visited after a day trip to Bicester Village. We had a twin room which was a good size, comfortable, clean beds. Bathroom was great with a bath and shower, 2 white towels provided and toiletries were in containers on the wall. Room has great character with beams, room a bit wonky, but I guess that adds to the character. We... More

We stayed one night in a twin room to visit the horse trials and having stayed a variety of places nearby over the years, I'd say this is one of the best. Room was clean and tidy and the beds comfortable and linen fresh and clean. We had a biggish bathroom which was great (the pole for the shower curtain... More

We had driven through Woodstock a couple of times, but never bothered to stop. It's a little gem. If you stayed a week you could have dinner in a different pub / restaurant each night, and potentially still have one or two left over. It has very easy access to Blenheim Palace - unless it's pouring leave your car in... More

We stayed 3 nights and were very happy with our stay. Room and shower room a little small but as we were out and about all day, did that really matter?! Excellent breakfast, friendly staff. Nice restraurants across the road/nearby for evening meals. Walked to Blenheim Palace easily and I am no walker!! Travelled into Oxford on the bus which... More

Only stayed one night here but found it to be very clean, comfortable and characterful accommodation. We were served an excellent breakfast in the cafe/restaurant where they serve delicious snacks and tea/coffee. Ideal location for visiting Blenheim Palace and looking around Woodstock. I would certainly choose to stay here again if in the area.

If you are looking for a hotel in the centre of Woodstock and within walking distance of Blenheim Palace and not much else then this hotel is fine. But if you're looking for something a bit special then look elsewhere. Our room was bland and the shower room was little bigger than a large cupboard. There was a good choice... More
