Myself, my partner, father and 10 month old daughter popped in for lunch after visiting the Blenheim Palace. We had an extremely friendly welcome and the patio garden was nice to relax in. Unfortunately there were no high chairs available though as these were on order and had not arrived yet (the pub had recently been took over and refurbished).... More

Stayed here with my partner last week and we were thrilled with the standard of accommodation and friendliness at the Punchbowl. We were told that it has recently changed hands and the new owners have thoroughly refurbished the premises. Robert and Maureen couldn't do enough to help us and gave us plenty of advice on things to do in the... More

We booked this hotel as we were going to the "battle of the proms" at Blenheim Palace. This is the perfect location, the hotel was clean and there are new owners, who made us feel very welcome. The breakfast was good and the owners are very helpful and friendly. They told us that they will be refurbishing the hotel over... More

Robert had only been running the place for 3 weeks when we stayed here. He's doing a tremendous job. The room was nice and clean. The dinner and breakfast were excellent. Robert is a lovely man, and the locks in the pub were all warm and friendly. Could not recommend it higher!

My wife and my friend arrived just about an hour before the new owners took over this lovely inn. They apologised for the mess, (they were re-decorating the bar and lounge areas), but said the bedrooms were unaffected. They welcomed us in a jovial manner and showed us to our rooms. We had a spacious, well-decorated, room at the front... More

We stayed here for 2 nights as participated in a charity walk at nearby Blenheim Palace (this is the closest inn/hotel to the Palace actually, I think). Had a twin room right at the top of the building, it did overlook the back car park and smoking area but the noise levels were minimal; it really wasn't an issue. Room... More

Stayed here for 2 nights with work. Warm welcome. Very old building (not a bad thing). The rooms are fairly basic and could do with a little renovating. My room was the only one with 2 x singles so i pushed them both together! The breakfast was spot on served by a lovely lady.

Greeted by a friendly bloke who informed me that there would be no food available in the pub as there was no one available to cook.... Not a good start. However, my room was clean, warm, large & full if character. The mattress needs replacing ( springs gone ). The kettle has to go on the floor as the lead... More

This hotel really suited our needs. It is a great location for Blenheim Palace as it is literally a 2-3 minute walk to the main gait with a further 10 minute walk up the drive to the Palace itself. I have given it five stars because of the location and because the room was lovely, the staff friendly and because... More
