The Becket Guest House is affordable lodging for the low-budget traveler. If you're used to three star hotels, inns or bed and breakfasts and up, you'll probably want to pass on a stay here, but if you're looking for a safe place to sleep with basic amenities it's worth considering, especially if you have a small budget and you're looking... Very reasonable price for Oxford - basic budget rooms - nothing flash but they were clean. The management were friendly and helpful and although the area is not so salubrious it is close to the train station and also close to budget/Avis car rentals. There were quite a lot of stairs to carry luggage up but at least there was... More

I've never written a trip advisor review before but feel I had to let others know how awful this guest house is. The room smelt terrible. We had been told that the guest house had experienced some trouble with their plumbing so we could no longer be accommodated in the double and instead had a twin room. Maybe the plumbing... More

We booked to stay at this guest house as it was significantly less expensive than other guest houses we had been looking at. We had a nice double room and to be fair you get what you pay for. Very basic en suite with no bath but the shower was fine. Very friendly hotel owners who were very accommodating as... More

I recently stayed here to attend a wedding around the corner. I was alone, so really just wanted somewhere cheap to sleep for one night. There wasn't much available in Oxford, at a cheap price anyway so after some searching around, I went with Becket Guest House, . TBH I wasn't expecting too much because of the reviews, but I... Small room, old house, no service, no parking place, no breakfast. Noisy, warm. Way overpriced for what you get. Location is outside city center. Just a bit too far to walk. If you have a bicycle it is OK but there is also no possibility to park your bicycle.

Having read recent reviews about this Guesthouse we were not really looking forward to our stay here. But it was fine. The location is brilliant just by the train station and we were able to leave our luggage there while we spent the morning in town before our train. Everything was perfectly clean and comfortable and had a homely touch... More

That was one of the worst places I have ever stayed in. Dirty, small and smelly (smells of damp). The host was ok but when I asked if I could have possibly left my suitcase there for few hours she mentioned something about the insurance ??? so we didn't... Breakfast wasn't included so I can't say much about on the... More

As the title says the b&b was fit for purpose. I was moving from the North to Oxford and it was a nice and clean place to stay whilst looking for acomodation. Not Buckinham Palace, but useful enough. It is quite well located, near the train station and the city centre. In my opinion, if you go there don't let... More

Stayed in this guest house for one night. It was about the cheapest accommodation going and the awful trip advisor reviews didn’t really put me off due to the fact we only wanted somewhere to get our heads down for the night after a boozy night around Oxford. Due to the awful state of the place I assumed that the... More
