We celebrated our first wedding anniversary at the Dashwood and (save for the rain) could not have asked for anything better for our two night stay. The hotel is charming, set in the picturesque village of Kirtlington with the prettiest picture-perfect thatched cottage within a couple of minutes' stroll and Bicester Village a mere ten minutes' drive away. Our room... more

We stayed one night in the 'suite' at £160 (all that was available when we booked). This room is in the old building - as are rooms 2-5, despite what previous reviewers have said this is not the only room in the main building. It was a big room with plenty of space but I don't really think just adding... more

My fiance and I stayed at the Dashwood Hotel and Restaurant mid August. I booked it as a surprise 2-night getaway for my fiance's birthday through laterooms.com. The hotel is lovely in the pretty little villiage of Kirtlington. It's a very attractive building to look at which is continued throughout the hotel and restaurant. We stayed in room 12 which... more

We are a couple in their mid-twentieds who had decided to take some time off work and travel round britain finding places to stay as we went along. We came across The Dashwood by chance, we were lost, and we thought we would have a look to see if they had any spare rooms. We were informed that there was... more

The Dashwood is a lovely little boutique hotel with only 11 rooms (most located in a converted barn) and a good restaurant. Rooms are not huge but have nice modern style decor, comfortable beds and large bathrooms with Gilchrist and Soames toiletries. The bar is cozy but quite small with more of a focus on the restaurant. The restaurant decor... more

I stayed at the Dashwood for one night on business - what a delight. My room (3) was immaculately turned out with a fabulous bathroom. They have managed to give a contemporary feel without ruining the charm of the listed building. The food was also excellent and the staff helpful and friendly - and, contrary to other reviews there was... more

We booked one night here for Valentine's night and had the package that included an evening meal for two. The service was friendly and professional throughout the stay. Our room was very nicely furnished and immaculately decorated. It was a bit small but other than than nothing to fault it. The meal was lovely - very well prepared and served.... more

I think the service is the icing on the cake at the Dashwood. The rooms are clean and very comfortable and the restaurant food is great, but add to this the friendly and personal service that is the norm at the Dashwood and you have a place that is a pleasure to stay at. I have stayed there a few... more

Stayed for one night in December on business. Check-in was prompt and assistance was offered with luggage. The room is well decorated with a large shower-room. The room has only a small window, but given I arrived after dark it wasn't really a problem. Rooms now have tea & coffee making facilities, & a small bottle of mineral water. Dinner... more

Needing a room at short notice, I booked the Dashwood on LateRooms without checking TripAdvisor. I was lucky! The Dashwood really is a very pleasant place to stay. The bedrooms are all located in a cottage type block a short distance from the main building, with your own front door (if you are downstairs). They are very well decorated, large... more
