The Dashwood is a lovely little boutique hotel with only 11 rooms (most located in a converted barn) and a good restaurant. Rooms are not huge but have nice modern style decor, comfortable beds and large bathrooms with Gilchrist and Soames toiletries. The bar is cozy but quite small with more of a focus on the restaurant. The restaurant decor... more

I stayed at the Dashwood for one night on business - what a delight. My room (3) was immaculately turned out with a fabulous bathroom. They have managed to give a contemporary feel without ruining the charm of the listed building. The food was also excellent and the staff helpful and friendly - and, contrary to other reviews there was... more

We booked one night here for Valentine's night and had the package that included an evening meal for two. The service was friendly and professional throughout the stay. Our room was very nicely furnished and immaculately decorated. It was a bit small but other than than nothing to fault it. The meal was lovely - very well prepared and served.... more

I think the service is the icing on the cake at the Dashwood. The rooms are clean and very comfortable and the restaurant food is great, but add to this the friendly and personal service that is the norm at the Dashwood and you have a place that is a pleasure to stay at. I have stayed there a few... more

Stayed for one night in December on business. Check-in was prompt and assistance was offered with luggage. The room is well decorated with a large shower-room. The room has only a small window, but given I arrived after dark it wasn't really a problem. Rooms now have tea & coffee making facilities, & a small bottle of mineral water. Dinner... more

Needing a room at short notice, I booked the Dashwood on LateRooms without checking TripAdvisor. I was lucky! The Dashwood really is a very pleasant place to stay. The bedrooms are all located in a cottage type block a short distance from the main building, with your own front door (if you are downstairs). They are very well decorated, large... more

A very well modernised hotel in a pretty Oxfordshire village - it reminded us of the Hotel du Vin style of hotel with it's comfy but minimalist decor , proper new bathrooms and ground floor bistro. We had a beautifully cooked evening meal (although the breakfast was nothing special ) It also has plenty of parking spaces which is a... more

Having returned form a fantastic weekend staying at the Dashwood I was highly bemused by the reviews left by other guests. The place is fantastic and the staff were so attentive nothing was too much trouble. The place has gone under new management and there is a real buzz around the place, the service was excellent. We really enjoyed our... more

We had dinner at the Dashwood on a Saturday evening while staying in Oxtofordshire. I did try to book a room but they were fully booked for the weekend. If we are back in that part of the world again I will definitely stay there. The food was excellent and the service and staff were polite, quick and very friendly.... more

This is a great hotel. The cleanliness and decor is second to none that I have stayed in recently and the breakfast was fantastic. Service was friendly but not professional. I think the staff need to realiase that we can hear their conversations about "what they did last night" and why someone was "late this morning". The worst thing of... more
