My wife and I stayed at the Hollybush for a weekend getaway for two nights. On arrival we were greeted with a warm smile and made welcome to the area and the guest house itself. Our room was warm and comfortable with plenty of space for out belongings and room to move about. Now I usually go for the tradditional... More

Stayed here last night. Was spotlessly clean. Nice location on bus route to Oxford centre which is 10 minutes away. Good price so can't really complain. Would use again. One think is they write the bank details for booking in a diary and the cleaner asked us to say what our name was in the diary so could see other... More

This guest house, three miles outside of Oxford was ideally suited for our stay in Oxford. The number 2 ( abcd) stopping almost outside and taking us into the centre of oxford, return ticket £3.50. The guest house itself was comfortable, clean and very welcoming. Breakfast was continental, and had a variety of items available. The only negative was the... More

A charmless B and B. Pokey room, manky bathroom and a very frugal continental breakfast. Do not be fooled by the website - the original family are no longer there and there is nothing homely about the place.

The location was good but the room was not. We stayed in the family room and with this in mind I felt that having a power socket hanging off the wall, with the leads exposed, less than a metre from the put up bed was terrible. The en suite was shabby and not particularly clean and there was no catch on... More

We stayed at this guest house on Saturday. The guest house owner was very nice but the bedroom was a shock much smaller that our own bedroom (we don't live in a large house) and having to skirt round the bed as it nearly touched to wall at the bottom of the bed stead as well as the put against... The location was great (just a short busride into the city centre). Despite facing a main road, the bedroom was quiet. The staff were extremely helpful. The breakfast was delicious. The room was small, but it was only a place to sleep and leave our bags, so that didn't matter.

We had an okay experience during our stay here but we were not impressed at all! This place did not feel like a bed and breakfast. The decor was a bit depressed and the linens were old. I suppose it was clean, but the bathroom was a bit mouldy. When we returned after our first day out our room had... More

Stayed here for 1 night in en-suite room. Bed was very comfortable and room a nice size. We had the room with the bay window and although on a main road there was very little traffic noise. I slept as well as I do at home. The bathroom was OK, although clearly suffering from lack of good ventilation. Heather was... More
