If you don't mind staying at a very old building with limited amenities, this B&B is charming, friendly, and well located. All rooms are named after a color. We were in the Yellow Room in the back facing other buildings. Free breakfast at a nearby sister restaurant was very enjoyable. The B&B is on a quiet street but very close... More

Located in the VERY old building, the hotel is economically adapted to it. It why the rooms do not have private showers. With small number of rooms and the cleanness it is not a big deal. If you are on budget and can accept the shared restroom, it is a good option

Thank you for your review! As you have stated we are based in an old, 16th century building so our room sizes are pre-set and whilst three of our rooms do use a shared bathroom the other five are en suite so if you visit us in Oxford again please do ask for an en suite. Thank you for taking... More

Stopped over for one night for a visit to a show at the New Theatre. Perfect location in the centre of the city. Breakfast quality and service was excellent. Room small but comfortable. Would certainly recommend.

We spent two nights at the Tower House b&b in March. After trying to book a hotel room and finding them extortionate, we booked with the Tower House and I'm glad we did! It's a lovely old building, set right into the walls of the city. We booked a deluxe double and stayed in the Bastion Room, which I would... More

The location was perfect for walking around Oxford. Room was small but very comfortable and clean, but who want's to stay in their room when there was so much to see. The Lady who was there was lovely, hence the card and flowers, and so helpful.Quite, breakfast was less than a minute away at Turl Street Kitchen and good pubs... More

Tower House is well positioned on a quiet(ish) street in central Oxford. What would raise it above average in my estimation is some attention to the decor. It looks rather tired. Worn and ripped carpet on the staircase, small repairs or fresh paint needed here and there. But it is a clean and convenient place for a short stay, and... More

Extremely charming hotel with small but clean rooms in the middle of the city centre. The breakfast is served at Turl Street Kitchen, my favourite restaurant in Oxford. The breakfast alone is worth a stay.

Oxford is very expensive to stay in and this was good value overall. Our room, the Foundry, would be the best choice for sound proofing. The very loud music from cafe on Saturday night was completely left behind by being at the back with very thick walls. Smart but slightly austere. Not for you if you like lots of facilities... More

The Tower House has the unusual advantage of being very quiet and peaceful, despite being very close to all the activity and nightlife of the city centre. My room was comfortable, with a range of modern amenities, yet had loads of atmosphere: you were aware that you were in a historic building. The staff leave the hotel at 7.00 (although... More

I stayed at the Tower House guest house on a work trip to an annual conference. Staying in the yellow room, although a slight issue with temperature (way too hot or too draughty), it was a lovely experience. Crisp, clean bedding and plenty of pillows, plus a large flat screen TV and tea & coffee making facilities. Myself and my... More
