When I booked the room for a one night stay I already felt the personal contact was not of a polished or friendly standard, on arrival I was shocked that we were expected to pay extra for parking or park in a local NCP( and no one had thought to ask or check when I booked?). Similarly I was surprised... More

Lovely hotel great room and stay. Try and get a Sunday stay over. Watch out for extras on bill as u only have to give room number for drinks.was charged 1.20 for a news paper, also let u check in earlier which is great:-)

Check in and reception was easy friendly and efficient. I stayed in the house of Correction. Lovely spacious room - Large bath room. Immaculately clean. Very comfortable bed and a great nights sleep. Cannot fault - really worth spending the money

If you've examined this place to stay as a possibility and, like me, insist on reading at least 67 reviews then have a read of this and make your decision! I stayed here last month as a surprise my GF had arranged for me passing a course at work.......imagine if I'd failed, it would've been a bit awkward because this... More

My husband and I stayed on Sunday night (the deal was a £25 room providing £75 spent in the bistro). We opted to pay an additional £25 to stay in one of the cell rooms...this was well worth and it made the experience. The room was well equipped, modern and comfortable. The only downsides are the poor lighting and the... More

Clean and comfortable. Super friendly staff!! Just don't try and think too much about what has gone on previously in the hotel. I was over the exercise yard in the correctional wing. Parking at 28.50 for an overnight is steep and having to pay an extra for a cooked breakfast it odd.

Stayed here for one night. First impressions of the hotel are very good, there's plenty of staff on hand to check in quickly, and there is a nice atmosphere in the lobby. We stayed in an executive room, in hind sight I would of preferred a room in the actual prison. The bathroom was huge, although lacked much character. It... More

I used this for a business meeting, with guests staying overnight. The meeting room worked well, the staff were helpful (though some are clearly recent starters), and the rooms, made up of 3 cells added together, were very comfortable, albeit with subdued lighting. The hotel is in a great location, a few minutes walk from a variety of Oxford's historic... More

Staff were friendly, decor was great and the home-made granola at breakfst was yummy. The only reason that I have given it 4 stars is because the lighting is so muted that I was struggling to read in our bedroom. However I went with my daughter and we both loved it and plan to come back next year.

My wife and I booked one night stay for dinner, bed and breakfast. It's an expensive hotel and lacked the things that you'd expect for that price. Parking is £28 per night on top of about £360. Concierge who looked after this was excellent. Our room was large, clean and well looked after. Lovely in fact. White robes but no... More
