We stayed as part of the pay £75 for the meal/stay over for £25 deal (which incidentally is £15 more than all the other Malmaisons bar London, and if you want to stay in the actual prison £45). This is very good value and certainly worth booking a half day off work on the Monday to take advantage of the... more

A great wedding anniversary night away. Malamison Oxford is a great hotel in a great location. We had a superior double booked on laterooms and it was worth the price, plenty of space, nice fittings and a large comfortable bed. Bathroom was spacious too and we had a great nights sleep - very peaceful despite being in the city centre.... more

The Malmaison Oxford is spectacular to look at, housed in the old prison building next to Oxford Castle, but is tricky to get into by car unless you know Oxford's city centre well. Once you are there the converted prison building is very impressive and worth a few pictures. The area where the hotel is located next to the castle... more

That isn't quite true. They promised to call us when our room was ready - we arrived at 11am on Saturday and check-in is not until 3 - and they did, at 12.30 which was nice. And when we got back to the hotel they had already put our bags in the room. But essentially what would be reasonable value... more

I stayed here with my girlfriend last night on the 'spend 75 GBP in the brasserie and stay the night for an extra 25 GBP' deal, although we paid an extra 20 GBP or so on upgrading to one of the cell rooms with roll top bath. The hotel itself was stunning; and the fact that it is a converted... more

Wow! this a great hotel! We stayed for 2 nights in one of the old prison rooms. The room and bathroom were really nice decorated in a modern sleek way. It's a fantastic idea to transform a prison and makes for a really different atmosphere and experience. The bar was also great and the 2 for one on cocktails was... more

If you want to splurge like you have never splurged before, then make sure you get yourself to the Malmaison Oxford - I was treated like I have never been treated before. Getting there - whatever you do, don't park in the centre or at the hotel. If you're planning on driving, park your car in one of the park... more

The factor which pulled us to book in at Malmaison was the novelty value of staying in a converted prison, a night away and a visit somewhere neither of us have ever been, and we got a good rate internet only available on their site for a stay on the bank holiday monday late in May. We walked from the... more

I booked the stay for penny deal & was so expectant of the trip - i was not disappointed. We have stayed in many great hotels around the world & this is comparable with them. It made it all the better that our weekend stay was when the sun waws out so Oxford was at its best. Check-in was easy... more

After reading various reviews on TP on Malmaison, Oxford I was intrigued to see for myself. We could not fault the hotel in any way - excellent reception staff, fantastic room in the A Wing - tea and coffee making facilities, iron, flat screen TV and DVD player. We stayed on the Prison for a Pound Offer requiring we spend... more
