Rooms are fairly basic but unfortunately dirty and in places full of cobwebs. Windows are filthy and look as though they haven't been cleaned for years. Breakfast consists of a tray with some miniature breakfast cereals on it and a small fridge with some old milk inside. Bathroom has roughly 15 signs screaming **ATTENTION** and not to touch anything (assume... More

Where to begin? Narrow stairs without possibility to bring your bags with you-just in front of you or behind you. Broaken bath in ugly and poor toilet. Owner is lady without sense for customer and I think she have to find doctor to help her regarding she's nerves. Dougteir is like mother. More than terrible. Don't stay in Kite inn!

Let's be kind and list the PROs first: - Good price for Oxford. - Good location - Silent during the night Cons: - It's a B&B, yes, but could have a better service. - Bathroom is always busy (5 rooms on the top floor for 1 bathroom). Perhaps another room is ensuite?, but there are at least 3 rooms sharing... More

This hotel is situated very close to Oxford station and about 5 minutes walk from the city centre. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and there is a very nice continental breakfast available. The staff are very friendly. The only slight issue is the fact that there is no en suite bathroom in some rooms, which means you have to... More

I liked it, clean and comfortable - good bed. Getting in is a (small) faff, but the fact they have locks etc is good for guests, being above a pub near a station security does matter! I thought it was very good value for Oxford and I personally found the staff (Liz) straightforward and friendly. It's handy being above a... More

You get what you can expect from a decent B&B. Terrible opening hours and staff having difficulties to accomodate to the fact that guests are part of the whole hospitality business. Nice breakfast solution though, alongside spacious and clean rooms. If you are stopping by in Oxford its okay for one night close to the railway station, but nothing more.

The Kite Inn is well located for access to central Oxford. It is opposite the rail station and a safe 10 minute walk from the centre and the buses. The room (single) was clean, tidy and functional with a TV and tea/coffee. The shared bathroom was clean and the shower was very good! The property was quiet, with no noise... More

Avoid eating here the manager is very rude, doesn't seem to be concerned with customer service. We were a party of eight and didn't enjoy our experience at all. We booked a table for 8.30 finished our starters and mains by 9.30 only to be told we couldn't order desserts as the kitchen was now closed. We. Suggested it might... More

Myself and 12 friends went for lunch at the Kite. Several were running really late so we went ahead and ordered. Food was great but when my late friends arrived they were told there was a 40 minute wait for food. We didn't plan on being there another hour so one of them popped round the corner to grab a... This is an interesting mix of urban tavern with well above average food - cooked well and at a fair price and value for money rooms above. The complementary tray in your room breakfast is an added bonus. The rooms are well painted / decorated with TV and drinks tray and the beds just fine with extra blanket and new... More
