This is a somewhat down at heel pub albeit with an excellent selection of beers. Staff are welcoming and friendly. Rooms are basic but clean, breakfast very good. Given the poor quality of hotels and guest houses in Oxford this is actually recommended although I only give it 3 stars. Convenient for the station and town and especially for the... More

I stayed here for one Sunday night, as I was involved in an event at the Said Business School, close to Oxford railway station. The inn is only a 5 minute walk, in a relatively quiet side street. From the outside it looks like what it is - an old fashioned local pub. A warm welcome and shown via the... More

A few minutes walk from the train station and the city centre, a pub below, friendly staff, large rooms and full English breakfast in the morning. What more could you ask for?! We only stayed for one night but the owner and everyone working in the pub were very friendly and easy to chat to. Our room was very clean... More

This Inn is very close to the town. It is about 1/4 mile from the Oxford Train Station. The owner is so kind and helpful. He was willing to watch out bags when we got there earlier than check-in time :) They provide a great breakfast in the morning. We were sad to only stay one night!

Stayed here while in Oxford. Inn is extremely close to transport- walking distance to the train which is also a major bus station. The staff were friendly and the room was clean, comfortable and homely. If you're comfortable sharing a bathroom with a few other guests, then I would highly recommend. The food is also quite good and well priced!

Eat and drink here regularly when working in Oxford, typically a few times a month. Always nice food and service and good value as Oxford goes and the hand pulled beer selection and the standard it is kept to is excellent.

My daughter and I stayed 2 days in May and would stay again. Really close to train station, clean rooms, friendly-helpful staff. The breakfasts are delicious and so are the dinners. Sharing a bath was no big deal and the beds were very comfortable. Our room was very large with everything we needed including robes so we didn't have to... More

When you walk in it is just a pub. A pub built in the 1900s no less. But go around and up some stairs you are in nice rooms. They are clean, the bed is comfortable and the WiFi strong. You have every thing that you need. The bathroom (shared) is also clean. The inn is within walking distance to... More

I stayed in a single room which was spacious and clean. My friends had a double which was huge and included a spare single bed as well a their double. The place has character and the staff provide good service, they were very helpful whilst giving us plenty of space.

I booked two rooms in The Kite for a for a friend's wedding with my boyfriend an best friend as it was central to Oxford and we were in for a bit or a lairy weekend so the close proximity to a pub was a plus not a minus. We arrived and were let in by a very friendly woman... More
