We stayed at the Bat & Ball in April mainly so we could be near Le Manoir which my husband had booked for my birthday meal. We arrived on the Saturday and had booked the evening meal at the pub (we were going to Le Manoir on the Sunday). And very enjoyable it was too! The food was of a... more

Went to the Bat & Ball for a wedding at Le Manoir (very close by) and were so pleased because we had such a lovely time. Staff were lovely and friendly and gave us a warm welcome when we arrived (you have to check in at the bar) and showed us to our room which was fairly small but perfectly... more

I have stayed at the Bat and Ball several times. Food used to be fab but in the last few months I think the chef has been changed. The rooms used to be cleaner and I dont think it is worth the price tag. Especially the price of drinks and the price of the mediocre food. When it was good... more

The B&B is in good location in the smart village of Cuddesdon, surrounded by pleasant countryside near Oxford, and has a very nice bar full of cricketing memorabilia in which to have a drink. But the room which we were given, May, was absurdly small, and still cost £70, while the food ranged from good - desserts like sticky toffee... more

I stayed at the Bat and Ball the night before I was to attend a conference at Oxford University. This cricket-themed, comfortable inn has a nice pub and a restaurant with a variety of items on the menu (something for everyone). The room I stayed in was clean, comfortable, modern, and reasonably priced. The staff and managers were very friendly... more

The Bat & Ball pub is great - good friendly staff, good beer, food is OK. But the room was awful! The room I had was called The Croucher. Threadbare, dirty carpet, cold and damp. The quilt was thin and totally inadequate. The radiators were totally unable to warm the room. The bathroom needed a serious clean and there was... more

What a great place. Decided to stay at the Bat & Ball as it was a short cab ride to The Manoir. Booked a month in advance, and double checked a day before arrival - all great ! Arrived in the charming village of Cuddesdon and found it very easily, ( but dont follow google map directions!) The staff were... more

Our family of six stayed here for one night, in two rooms. The rooms were in different buildings, but that was no problem. One room was fairly large, the other very small, and both were acceptably clean. We had a bit of trouble finding the inn, and when we called for help the staff was a bit unfriendly. The breakfast... more

A traditional British pub offering accomodation. The breakfast was very good indeed and the decor was interesting with a cricket theme. We arrived at 9.30 pm, having phoned ahead to say that our flight was late landing. We could only have a panini from their extensive restaraunt menu because of our time of arrival. They were very helpful in helping... more

We booked this pub with rooms as it was close to Le Manoir aux Quatre Saisons where we were attending a Christmas Carol concert and dinner. On arrival at the pub we were given a room which was shabby and very disappointing, we could have lived with it had the shower not been hanging off the wall. We asked to... more
