The website says "Bed & Breakfast", but actually they only offer accommodation. Accommodation in a scanty room, malfunctioning facilities and and hardly any services. Not that Oxford be a cheap city, but paying these rates for such a horrible place is not worth at all, regardless of its centric location. However, location itself is far from great, having music blasting... More

I have been to Oxford a couple of times and I have always stayed in environments that were not super-modern and had some historical flavor. I think this is what visitors expect from a historical city like Oxford. This hotel, at least to my opinion, is on the very low end side of what you would expect from a three-star... More

The staff were very polite and helpful, clean room and the location is excellent - right in the heart of Oxford. Though, being on a very live and busy street is not as quiet as a countryside hotel. Very good for me and my partner.

Nice place for theatre, BUT, the noise. A nightclub is attached to the hotel, you can't ignore the volume of bass sounding through the walls. 0330 (given room nearest attached) and it stopped. BUT, then the spilling out of party goers continued, shouting, screaming in front of windows. All in all, the hotel description fails to mention this. Excellent for... More

I thought the hotel room was terribly appalling and terribly dirty, and nothing to get worse!!!! until I met the receptionists!!! They would not do eye-contact, and certainly would not help with my queries. They were rude enough to tell me to go and buy a guide at the tourist office because they did not know Oxford enough. When I... More

The hotel is located on very busy street, with a night just next to its main entrance, so the noise at night is terrible. Moreover, the standard twin room is very small. The whole building looks old and scanty, and the breakfast is served in the cafe opposite - not ideal because one has to get out of the hotel... More

+ amazing location, clean bathroom, big and comfortable beds - extremely small rooms, no place for suitcases, smell of cigarets in the rooms The location of this hotel really makes up for it's poor rooms, because it is located in the very center of everything, bus station is 3 min away, so is Ashmolean museum and all the shops and... Recent reviews have been poor. I stayed here 3 nights and did not bother to check previous reviews. Room 24 seemed fine to me, small double but clean and with a hot shower. Very central location. £242 for 3 nights. I have no complaints.

This is the dirtiest, grubbiest hotel I have ever entered. I have no idea when the place was cleaned last, but my guess would be months if not longer! Everything was stained, bathroom was filthy. Staines in the toilet and sink and shower was covered in mildew. It might be a good central location, but I would not recommend anybody... More

We stayed 1 night in this "hotel". It's dirty, loud, but right in the heart of the city. I would not recommend it though. We had breakfast in our rooms, as they don't have a diner. Breakfast was basically nothing as you can imagine.
