Friendly and efficient staff, everything looks very nice. Room was clean but the chair and bed should have been replaced years ago--they were extremely worn and uncomfortable. The bed creaked and was lumpy hard, not conducive to a good night's sleep. I mentioned this upon check out but wasn't offered anything more than "sorry"--which is not really good enough at... More

My wife and I stayed for a couple of days in Oxford and chose the Cotswold Lodge Hotel for our sojourn. The Hotel has its own car park, so this was very convenient and is well located slightly out of the city centre, but within an easy walk. The bedroom, No 55, was large and well appointed with a super... More

Two night stay. Didn't do breakfast as straight out of the hotel and across the main road is a shop (Vinny's) that does superb coffee and hot sandwiches. Sit in if need be too. That suits us better so we just used that for breakfast on the go. Hotel spotlessly clean, nice staff, very comfortable surroundings. The walk into town... More

This property is only an easy ten minute walk into the centre of Oxford. There is free on site parking too! It is a lovely old building and our room was really beautiful. It was very spacious with lovely lounge chairs to relax on and a great bathroom. The breakfasts were really great and the bar area was great to... More

I must say upon first arrival, we were greeted in a very friendly manner by the Staff. Our rooms were on the first floor, Numbers 51 and 52. I said to my Mrs and daughter, this is nice. We booked an evening meal for the evening and the Menu looked very appetising. It was then off into Oxford for some... More

Mum, Dad, kids and grandkids, 8 in total. On a day when the Cotswold Lodge also had a wedding on. The Cotswold Lodge were helpful, (two high chairs for the grandkids and let us know when we booked re the wedding and we were served in a private lounge, so top marks for that). Scones were amazing (choice of fruit... More

A nice location and good quality rooms but no air conditioning. The staff at reception and in the restaurant lacked any quality of hospitality, all 'matter-of-fact'. The regular courtesies you expect in a hotel like 'how was your stay', was delivered but then the receptionist promptly walked away before you could answer; certainly didn't feel like they actually cared about... Stayed for one night with my 80 year old mother who is still very with it and particular! We had a ground floor room which was quite small but plenty big enough for us. It was nicely decorated and spotlessly clean. The beds were as comfortable as you get these days so we had a decent night's sleep. The bathroom... More

We attended a wedding at this hotel and stayed the night. The welcome was good. The wedding venue delightful and the ceremony went without a hitch, The after wedding drink, Bucks Fizz, was very welcome as it was a warm day. The evening reception meal was really good, the staff were very slick in serving and clearing away. Breakfast the... More

OK so it was the best room in the hotel, so you'd expect that, but it was great. 4 poster suite. Food (room service) was great. Good location, friendly staff and close to Oxford city centre. About a 15 minute walk
