Just got back from a 1 night stay here while visiting the university and very happy with the hotel. First impressions are so important and on arrival at the hotel I was impressed to see it was set in its own grounds and surrounded by quiet woodland. The entrance was cosy , clean and welcoming. Reception staff were pleasant and... More

We went to Oxford just for one weekend and stayed in Westwood hotel. And we were not disappointed! Very nice and clean small hotel. Simple and just what u need to feel comfortable :) The hotel is only 10 mins drive by taxi from the main restaurants/bars street but the price for a quality u get is much lower than... More

My partner and I booked for just one night during the weekend. And it was enough. At first, we were given room 22, at the ground floor. Extremely small room. As soon as we walk in, it is ridiculously hot. Temperature is so high we cannot even breathe. Just a small window can be open to let some air in,... More

We attended a wedding this weekend and found the hotel to be lovely and clean with nice rooms newly decorated. We took over the whole of the hotel. The dinner we had (there were about 40 in the wedding party) was a roast and nice and delivered with care by a good amount of staff. The staff without exception we're... More

We had the Honeymoon Suite with balcony. Watched hawks and deer wandering in back of the gardens. Great staff, dinners were excellent. Noise wasn't a problem, but I don't think the hotel was full, and no loud parties while we were there. Convenient bus into Oxford, and the return bus dropped us off at the door. Very enjoyable.

We stayed here for my brothers wedding on the 03/10/2015. The hotel grounds are nice, the food was also nice. I just felt that overall the hotel is overpriced. The staff seemed to be too laid back. One thing that really annoyed me was that in mine and my wife's room we only had 1 towel between us. These types... More

We had the tiny attic room that had walls so thin we could hear the gay couple's 'love in' next door. (Need I say more?). We even heard them when they were whispering...they realized we'd heard everything when they'd finished (should we have applauded?) and I happened to say to my husband - thank god for that - we can... We held my son's 40th birthday party at The Westwood Hotel a few months back. I cannot even begin to sing the praises of The Westwood Hotel highly enough. Everything was sublime; from the set up of the room, to the very tasty lamb spit, to the great party atmosphere. The gardens are phenomenal and the service excellent. The staff... More

I travelled with work so arrived at about 7pm after a long drive and a days work. The room was in the 'attic' and was one of 4 rooms. The landing area outside had a very low ceiling that you had to be careful to not bang your head on right outside the door. The room itself was really small... More

We came to the Westwood for dinner with friends. What a pretty hotel and lovely gardens. Our table ordered a variety of meals, mine being the Roast Lamb - absolutely scrumptious! The waitrons were excellent, and every single meal was presented beautifully and delicious. I am not sure of the prices, as we were guests, but whatever it cost, it... More
