I had reserved this hotel using two main criterias: price and location. I was not disappointed by those two. The hotel is actual located between a main street, and the main coach (bus) station. No need to say but with the single glazing, I was feeling like in a motor workshop with all those diesel engines. It is a B&B... more

Eurobar, situated in a convenient (albeit noisy) location in central Oxford, is more akin to a hostel than to a hotel. You enter the hotel through the bar area, which is full of students and locals enjoying their beers. At times this created a creepy atmosphere with my girlfriend getting lecherous looks from the local men as we walked through... more

The cost/quality equation is good. You get what you payed for: simple and cheap accommodations in a center location... The hotel looks like those typical English houses that became hotels and you can see in the movies. It is full of rooms, halls, corridors and has many many small sneaky stairways that lead to different rooms. The hotel is located... more

Health and Safetly need to check this place out. The "attic" room was moldy, the wallpaper was acually being held up where it was getting damp - with drawing pins !!!! Yes really ! The beds were very lumpy, It was musky. The window was filthy and carpets worn ........ On top of that I was on the top floor... more

I wasn't expecting too much from this hotel given the reviews, but booked for its excellent location and price being lower than most in Oxford. I was surprised to find that check-in was done over the bar, where I had to pay in advance before seeing the room, and had to ask them just to give me a receipt. I... more

Stayed here with my husband for a wedding. We had left booking a bit late and did not check tripadvisor - picked this as it was central. The first signs were not good: the bar smelt of BO, the place looked like a hostel, the entrance to the 'hotel' part was through the bar to the back and the room... more

The information from other reviewers about the hotel gave me a good idea of what I would find, most of it was correct. The whole place is a bit run down. There is no lift so you need to carry all your luggage up the narrow stairs, a little bit like Amsterdam. The decor has seen better days but the... more

As others have said : the furniture is old and the place does not smell fresh. The service is not welcoming. Very very overpriced ensuit £80 I think should have been nearer £50. I stop in two or three places every month and this is the first place I would truly not recommend . more
