Oxford is expensive for sub par accommodations and this place is on the lower end of the price scale if you don't count the hostels. Seems to be run by a middle aged couple living on premises. Wife somewhat un accommodating and sort of unfriendly attitude...not the right personality for this type of business. Husband is congenial but most of... More

This is a nice B&B about a half-hours' walking distance from the Oxford city center and located right on a bus line into town (the stop is more or less in front of the building). The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable, though the wi-fi was rather unreliable. The hot breakfast comes in several forms and is certainly ample, and... More

Booked, literally, at the last minute, I found this B&B good value for money. Room was clean, comfy, and well appointed. Service was outstanding. Connection to Oxford city centre is really easy - bus stop outside and £2.80 return. Would certainly go there again

I was in Oxford for a night and looked at various options, including right in the city of Oxford itself or just outside the perimeter. If you are coming by car, parking in the city core can be a painful and costly experience. There's a reason there's a number of park and ride locations just outside the city. However, I... More

If you are looking for a cheap, no-frills B&B within easy access of downtown Oxford, Green Gables will suit you just fine. The couple who owns the place are very nice and were more-than-accommodating with my late arrival time (they request check-in no later than 10pm. I arrived at 11pm with no problems). The rooms are very tiny but comfortable... More

For Oxford the B&B is good value. Very friendly host. Nice breakfast. On very convenient bus route to centre or 30 minute walk along the river. Rooms are a bit tired but acceptable. Lovely gardens. Overall would recommend.

We wanted a reasonably priced B&B within a couple of miles of central Oxford. This was certainly it. Mr & Mrs Bhella are excellent hosts, the bedroom we had at the back of the house was spacious with lovely views of the garden. The bed, linen and large bath sheets were all of a very good standard. The breakfast was... More

2 day trip to Oxford with friends. Wanted a reasonable place to stay which conformed to Maslows hierarchy of needs. Parking, wifi, easy access to city and a great breakfast. All ticked. Very clean, nice people running it. It's not expensive, it's not the Ritz, but it does what it says on the tin. Next time in Oxford, I'll go... More

Friendly, comfortable and quiet. Staying here, you could almost believe you were in the middle of the countryside rather than in central Oxford. Nice rooms, nice people. A charming, family-run establishment.
