Burlington House is a very good B&B in North Oxford (Sommertown). A wonderful host puts you at ease. The room we had was comfortable and spacious enough. The breakfast is wonderful! The bus ride into central Oxford is 10 minutes. WQe will stay here again!

We stayed here in October last year and had a brilliant time. Our room was beautiful and spotlessly clean. It was very hot at night despite the time of year but the ceiling fan sorted that out. Nes was very helpful and efficient without imposing. Breakfast was very good, although I have had better elsewhere. Was expecting more due to... More

Had a great stay this weekend. The room, one of the doubles, was very high quality and exactly as described online. Great bed! And, breakfast was extensive, expertly and attentively prepared (began with homemade bread and when from there). The owner, Nessa, is just super attentive. I thought it was a great value, actually, given the high quality and excellent... More

I travel on business a few times a year, and was not looking forward to staying at yet another charmless chain hotel, so thought I would splash out a bit and stay somewhere nice on this trip to Oxford. I chose Burlighton House on the strength of its many good reviews here, and its slightly lower price than the hotels... More

I stayed at the Burlington House with a group of (very) old school friends. We found the hotel very welcoming and comfortable. Although the road outside was busy, the windows provided adequate sound insulation. I shared a twin-bedded room at the top of the house. Our only niggle was that the bathroom flannels were not changed, although we were provided... More

A most enjoyable stay. It's not cheap, but then nothing in Oxford is, and I'd much rather enjoy the atmosphere of this house, than one of the soulless out-of-town chain hotels. Lovely fresh breakfast too. I'll be back!

Great place just outside of Oxford. My room had great decor and was very comfortable. It is a very quick bus ride into town or a quick walk to Summertown center for shops and restaurants. Also a great location for trips into the Cotswolds. If you go in early May look for info on bluebell woodlands. The "hotel" was great... More

An absolute delight from the warm welcome by Nes and his brilliant recommendations of where to eat. Lovely room with double glazing to cut out the traffic noise and great en-suite with nice shower. 2 arm chairs in a double room which not even more expensive places seem to manage and a delightful breakfast. Took the bus into the city... More

I am delighted to recommend this very comfortable and welcoming hotel to visitors to Oxford. Visiting Oxford for a comedy gig at the Glee Club, we researched the city for an overnight and the reviews came back with the Burlington and we're very glad it did. From the welcome we received from Nes on arrival it was just a fantastic... More
