This is a great place to stay, and excellent value compared to other places in Oxford. The decor is smart, and the rooms well appointed. I had a lovely single room on the second floor which even had a desk, with access to WiFi. The secondary-glazed windows ensure little noise from the road. Fresh milk for tea/coffee is available upon... More

This B&B is just gorgeous. We chose it from TripAdvisor reviews, and it was also recommended in our Lonely Planet guidebook. It is located on the outskirts of Oxford, only a 5-10 minute walk from the suburb of Summertown (which has cafes, supermarkets etc), and an easy 30 minute walk into Oxford itself. Alternatively the B&B is located on a... More

If only all b&bs and hotels had the same standards as The Burlington. I was met by the very friendly Nes who kindly gave me a much needed drink after my long drive, and had lots of info about the area which was really helpful, like the good restaurants and bars within walking distance etc. He showed me to a... Burlington House is a really good B and B . It is within walking distance of some nice places to eat, and offers comfortable accommodation and a good breakfast. It is a B and B however and not a hotel, so bear that in mind when booking.

In my opinion this is a bed and breakfast not a hotel. Were met on arrival by the owner who showed us to our room and gave us all the relevant information regarding the accommodation. Room was in an annex to the side of the property which meant we only visited the main building once for breakfast. Unusual room felt... More

My wife and I stayed at Burlington House as a weekend getaway and got much much than we asked for. This is not a B & B, it's pretty much a 5 star hotel thanks to the care and attention of the manager, Nes. The breakfast is just fantastic, from the homemade bread to the little cafetieres and cheese omelettes... More

Stayed here for a single night in a standard double room, and the proprietor Nez (forgive the potential misspelling) made the whole stay a real pleasure. The whole place is tastefully decorated and very clean, the facilities are good for a B&B, and the breakfasts are genuinely excellent (including home baked bread, locally produced eggs and home made granola). Only... More

This Bed and Breakfast really is much more like a Hotel. Very stylish, and importantly clean facilities. Breakfast is lovely but isn't done at the time advertised. Hotel information states weekend breakfast is 8.15 however I was told upon arrival it would be 8.30 - this is inconvenient if you want to be somewhere for 9am. Timings aside breakfast is... More

My wife and I visited Oxford in mid December and stayed at Burlington House for 3 nights. We both enjoyed our stay. We were made very welcome by the owner and appreciated his guidance on restaurants and local knowledge. The location is perfect with many frequent buses to take you into the center of Oxford should you choose not to... More

This was one of the nicest B&B's I've ever stayed in. Clean, quiet, smartly decorated, with warm and accommodating staff for whom nothing was too much trouble. Amazing home made bread in the morning for breakfast, and no hesitation coping with food allergies and supplying an alternative breakfast for us beyond the usual meal. I look forward to our next...
