Stayed here on the basis of AA 5 star rating. Will never trust this scheme again. The positives - The room was clean and the breakfast was normal - but this is the least you would expect for the price. The negatives: Firstly the location - Burlington House is situated far too close to an extremely busy main road with... More

I booked to stay at the Burlington House Hotel for my boyfriend’s birthday and we stayed in a King Ensuite Room – we had number 10, the one with wardrobes either side of the bed. This is right next to the front door on the ground floor. I booked the room directly with the hotel via phone as it’s not... More

We have had a wonderful stay at the Burlington House. Nes was an excellent host. The hotel is in the suburbs but it is very convenient to travel into the city centre. Buses come frequently through the day to the evening. There are restaurants and supermarkets nearby. Rooms are clean and beds are comfortable. Breakfast is superb. Nes has done... More

It was a pleasure to stay at this place. Nes and his team work hard to make their guests comfortable. They are thoughtful and pay attention to detail, including running after me with a bottle of water when I left. Never happened to me before in the 40+ years I have been travelling!, both for business or pleasure. Breakfast was... More

We stayed in Oxford for four nights on our way to London. Nes, the GM, is warm, welcoming and hospitatable and the breakfast is plentiful, varied and delicious. The location is perfect -- a short bus ride into town and a five minute walk to Summertown where there are lots of restaurants and shopping. Even thought the B&B is on... More

I stayed at the BH last Wednesday as I waited for the arrival of my baby daughter in the local hospital. Nes is the GM and could not have been more helpful, charming and a perfect host before and after I arrived after 10pm, when the hotel is officially closed. I stayed in room 11, which is in a small... We stayed for two nights and couldn't fault anything, the breakfast certainly fills you up for the entire day, the bed was perfection, the standard of cleanliness was impeccable and Nes was the perfect host, he couldn't be more helpful and charming. Will definitely stay again and be recommending to everyone for a perfect getaway!

I might quibble at the name "Hotel", as Burlington House only does "B&B". But it does that very well. Our room was spacious, well appointed, clean, and comfortable. Nice personal touches, like being greeted on arrival with a glass of fresh juice, very welcoming after a hot journey. A little jar of "Gold Blend" coffee rather than skimpy little sachets.Two... The rooms were clean and pleasant, the breakfast was excellent, and the staff were cordial and efficient. The location is a bit out of town, but convenient and frequent buses are available. Nes is a perfect host.

I had the pleasure of staying at this B+B, and it is remarkably well run. On a convenient bus route. The breakfasts are really something to talk about, handmade muesli, locally sourced products, bread baked on site.. Amazing. The bathrooms and rooms are second to none..staff is nothing but top class. Big up to Nas and his team. The best in... More
