Booked a 2 night deal through Secret Escapes that included 1 evening meal and bottle of wine, Because of this being a deal my expectations were not raised too high. How wrong was I. On arrival we received a friendly welcome, which was echoed in the restaurant by the waiting staff and the duty managers good hosting. The hotel throughout... More

We arrived and had to queue at reception to check in, there was only one member of staff behind the desk. During the weekend we found this to be consistent and when there was two behind reception one would either be on the phone or dealing with concerge work. The hotel was full so this area was constantly busy so... More

Clean, tidy and very welcoming hotel. Food fair as expected of a large modern establishment. rooms clean and tidy. General public areas comfortable All staff polite and welcoming. Buffet breakfast " help yourself and good luck" but no worse than most. Evening meal excellent and served well Overall a good stay in the right place for exploring the town

We booked this stay through 'Secret Escapes' and it was at a price which was hard to beat. The location of the hotel is wonderful as we were able to leave our car in the car park and walk easily along the riverside into Oxford - very useful as parking is difficult in Oxford. Our room was very nice and... More

First visit to Oxford and so lucky to have such a pleasant hotel so close to the city. Oxford city centre is only a short walk away along the river banlk - very pleasant in the sunshine. The hotel was easy to find, has ample parking and quite extensive grounds but only a small patio area. The gym, pool, sauna... More

The hotel is unique with its spacious grounds and ample parking. It was an easy 10-12 minute walk to central Oxford. We had dinner in the hotel restaurant but found the food to be average. The room was comfortable with sliding glass doors opening to a small patio. However, we had to keep the sliding doors closed due to smokers... More

The hotel is really fabulous. Lovely rooms, great food in restaurant or bar menu. Indoor pool, gym if feeling energetic, spa for all the pampering. Staff attentive, nothing too much trouble. Only a 15 minute walk along the Thames path into the city of Oxford with the great architecture of all the different colleges that make up the famous university.... More

Spending our evening here after a full day of touring Oxford, in the lobby of this hotel was a welcomed respite indeed. Ordering a few snacks and a glass of wine (my girlfriend ordered a beer) to sit in this lovely ambience and historical site allow us to regroup and connect to a truly lovely hotel. Do not confuse this... More
