We were given a complimentary upgrade to what was meant to be a superior room which was very large but lacking in ambience. It was hot - no air-conditioning - and there was no lift to the second floor - difficult to manage with two 20+kg bags, and breakfast disappointing. Given the relatively high price the overall stay, was disappointing.... More

This is a maze and unless you get clear directions you can get lost just trying to find the warren to bed down. But some serious shortcomings: No fridge in the rooms? No air conditioning?? Very slow and limited wifi. Uncomfortable mattress that must be a remnant from WWII. Otherwise very nice outlook and quite bearable position if you don't... More

We stayed there during a business visit. Not right downtown, but walk-able distance from the train station for me to go to work. Also walk-able distance from the main street for my wife to explore downtown. Nice service staff. Decent food. Made our stay pleasant.

Just spent two nights at this hotel and it was all good. The staff especially were very friendly and polite. We were upgraded to a suite which was extremely spacious and very clean. Breakfast was superb with loads of choice. Fantastic location.

Just departed this hotel having had a brilliant weekend. We were a party of 4 ladies sharing 2 twin rooms for 2 nights on an inclusive spa break. Firstly the previous reviews mentioned bad service. We didn't experience any of this at all. In fact on the contrary, we received fantastic service from check-in, room service, dinner, breakfast and front... More

It goes to show that you can make anything look great on a website... We were thoroughly disappointed with our stay which we found to be thoroughly overpriced. The room was ridiculously hot, walls were paper- thin and we were awoken constantly throughout the night. The dressing gowns smelt musty and the rooms were terribly old fashioned! Don't waste your... I came to stay here for the weekend after spending the week in Oxford for work. The hotel is relatively easy to get to, either from the main road, or from walking down the path by the River Thames. I arrived at 1pm and my room was ready, very well presented, large room with a beautiful and modern en-suite and... More

The hotel is ideally situated a short stroll from Oxford centre and has free and plentiful parking which makes it an ideal base from which to explore the area. Our room was clean and spacious, the breakfast buffet was as you would expect from a breakfast buffet - nothing special but absolutely fine.

My wife & I stayed over the weekend spending one night in Eastwyke House. The room was amazing!! Well impressed with the facilities & spotless too. We used the bar for a couple of drinks. The young lady on the bar was a little abrupt but efficient enough. We booked a table for dinner Saturday evening and thought the cost... More

Unfortunately this was the second time we had stayed at a four pillars hotel, with the same sentiments. Over priced, over rated and not good value for money. It is placed in a superb position close to Oford centre, nice stroll along river towpath, rooms are a good quality, unless you had mine right above (202) rubish yard and had a... More
