I wrote a review on this hotel 4 years ago which was less than complimentary, so when I visited again recently I was hoping for an improvement. I stayed one night and dined in the restaurant as this was included in the package. I must report that the check-in was efficient and that the room was very comfortable with complimentary... More

Great staff make you feel really welcome. We stayed for two nights on a package deal that included a meal on the first night. It was a really good meal and the service was really friendly which helped to make it a great evening for all 26 of us. The hotel is located next to the river, and the riverside... More

There are some strange practices at Oxford University. Among them is the rule that allows students who have graduated as normal to return some time later to be elevated to an MA degree (no extra studying required). I mention this because it's pertinent to my review, so bear with me. The other oddity about this degree business is that the... More

I stayed at the four pillars hotel to get away from work and to spend time with my partner whom I had not seen for a while. I arrived well before official check in time and there was a room available. I was also given a complimentary upgrade. Rooms were large with enough room for a double bed, office table,... More

This is an efficient business hotel delivering a satisfactory nights sleep in a large, clean room. Minor signs of building tiredness, but I paid a reasonable price. Reception staff were very pleasant and helpful. Don't expect much soul, but if you are just looking for a night's sleep just outside the centre of Oxford, this is a good option. More

Stayed for one night on business and also hired a meeting room for half a day. Ample free parking, efficient and easy check in. Room reasonable size and well equipped (ironing board & iron in wardrobe, trouser press, safe, tea & coffee making facilities). Bathroom average size with clean fluffy towels. Flat screen TV was fixed too close to the... More

Double room with interconnecting door to twin room. Comfy beds, Both rooms clean and tidy but the bathrooms are a bit 'tired' chips in baths, stains across vanity area, and scalding hot basin taps....a sign to suggest ridiculously hot water might be an idea? We stayed for a weekend package and both breakfast's and main meals included were really very... More

Stayed here on a 3 night deal which was excellent value for money. Rooms are vey nice with nice size T.V. Swimming pool, spa pool and Sauna are lovely. Little disappointed that the menu stayed the same for all 3 nights including desert. Major minus in this hotel was the bar prices very much above average and difficult to understand... More

My sister and I recently stayed here for a two night break. We upgraded our room which we felt was worth it and had a very enjoyable relaxing stay. We ate dinner at the hotel twice and enjoyed the meals. Breakfast was good if not great. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. We very much enjoyed the walk... More
