I went to Oxford because my son had interviews. At first I didn't have a clue where to stay and the hotels local to the college were very expensive. Three nights B and B at the college was £150, the same stay in a local hotel was £400. The room I had was a basic student room. The showers were... More

7 of us stayed here for one night . The rooms are basic but warm and comfortable. Please remember these are student rooms so no frills. The staff at the Porters Lodge were friendly and helpful.Very good full English breakfast . At £50 for a single room this was good value. The college is on a good bus route from... More

Stayed here Aug 2015 for about a week. Understood that the room is a student's dorm room. Stayed at Maplethorpe Building which was built fairly recently. Modern with lift facilities. Paid for room with ensuite. Beautiful garden for scenery. Convenient for conference as it was in the same building. They couldn't find my reservation even though my reservation was made... More

I had a nice stay at St Hugh's. I stayed for just two nights in the summer. The location of the college is convenient as it is a short walk to the shops in North Parade. The room was basic, but clean. There were many bathrooms in the hallways and while these were okay, they were pretty old-fashioned and not... More

We only stayed for one night but it was a great find. The staff were friendly and very efficient at the porter's lodge. The room was spartan with 2 single beds, but equipped with kettle, free wifi and everything we needed, including very comfortable beds. Bathrooms were down the hall - the only inconvenience. Breakfast was excellent and ample, as... More

Stayed here for several days at a conference and couldn't have been more impressed. Dorm style rooms are fine considering you're only really sleeping in them - spacious with comfortable beds. The food, on the other hand, was absolutely superb; so much more than I expected and served by diligent, well trained staff. Add in the wonderful grounds and I... More

Stayed for 3 nights as part of a course. Knew the accommodation is going to be basic which is fine and to be expected from student accommodation. It took 4 men over 30 minutes to locate our booking; a further 15 to give us the correct room and key. The kettle didn't work and despite mentioning it twice didn't get... More

I stayed here for 2 nights while I explored Oxford. The room was a basic college dorm room with a bed, bedside table with good reading lamp, desk, and closet. Toilets and showers/bathtubs were located just down the hall. The bed was comfortable and the room was checked daily by staff who replenished the in-room amenities (tea/coffee, cookies, bottled water).... More

Three of us spent three nights here in June 2014. We arrived early and left our luggage at the check-in. We took a taxi from the train station, but walked to the town center and Jericho during the rest of our stay and found it a pleasant and easy walk, about 20 min. The rooms were basic, but clean and... More

I stayed here for one night while attending an event at Lady Margaret Hall. It is student accommodation built in the 1980s. I paid 70 for a room with ensuite. The ensuite was covered in mould -disgusting. The room was really noisy with other guests rolling in late and being loud. Parking is right round the block from where you... More
