This Hostel is perect whether you are travelling or trying to set up life within a new city. The staff are pleasent and welcoming always going out of there way to ensure your stay is as comfortable as possible, especially the female staff. The lounge is a large area with comfy sofas there are always events going on and friends... More

Recently visited the Central Oxford Backpackers Hostel and it is one mistake I shall never make again and I would urge fellow travellers to avoid it any and all costs! Just because it's a cheaper way to have so.ewhere to stay doesn't give the owners and staff the right to expect their customers.to accept the abysmal hygiene standards (or lack... More

Good hostel. Everything you need. Friendly staff as well. Good common room. Pooltable included. Hot showers. Bar that closes at around 12 though. Special shout to Frankie, Van and Andersen for helping me out several times.

Facility is ok, but staff sleeps on sofa in common room, won't wake to answer door, phone or guest enquiries. Location is perfect, God vibes from the crowd. If only management would address some weak night staff (August 3rd night). To be fair, evening staff was great.

I arrived without accommodation and quickly found the hotels in Oxford are very expensive. This place is absolutely perfect if you just need a bed and a shower each day. It was a while since I had stayed in a backpackers but everyone, staff and customers could not have been nicer. The free breakfast was toast, cereal or fresh pancakes.... More

Okay, so this place it's quiet at night in the dorms, it has a kitchen, a bar, a pool, large sofas, massive TV, and there's a party every night! I absolutely loved this place and have stayed for two weeks. MAde many many friends during my stay. The only thing I liked more at Central backpackers was the singular showers.... More

I stayed here for 3 nights. It's a great and friendly place to stay. It's clean and comfortable and an easy place to meet other travellers. The bathrooms are standard for a hostel . The kitchen could do with another fridge but no issues otherwise.

I feel this Hostel gets a bad wrap, it's actually really good. Wifi works well from the lounge area, location is great, showers are great cleaned everyday, beds tipical hostel bed! Yes the heating is an issue but to be fair the UK was having a very rare heat wave. Reading other reviews people mention a strange smell in some... More

A short 5-10 min walk from the coach station, reception isn't warm but clearly runs through the rules. Rooms and beds are pretty decent, common area is sad and dreary. Breakfast is available, toast and spreads but not worth waking up for. Tesco and Sainsbury is about 5-10 mins away. Nothing much to it, nothing much to say about it.... More
