Hostel is on a great location,I stayed in a 4 bed room, and enjoyed my stay in the room. After 23h it is usually quiet, but there were few guests coming in late, and walking around. That was not often. Breakfast is OK, as well as the living room environment. However, I have to point out that the bathrooms are cleaned only... More

Can’t recommend this hostel: i) Note that they NEVER give you a receipt when you pay (this is not by accident - if you ask for it they don’t have any receipts. of anything.) ii) The staff is clearly overwhelmed and disorganized. For example, during my stay they had to close the checkin TWICE because they were missing (a lot... More

In case you think about booking, add five pounds to the price right away. They ask for it when you check in (no point, you won't be handed a key or anything) and they might keep it. They kept 10 pounds from me and my friend. And they refuse to make a simple refund through the card details they already... More

It was a decent hostel in my opinion. I've only been in one (this one), so I can't compare though. It was really hot in the rooms though. I wish there was some sort of cooling system in the rooms. The common areas are nice temperature wise though. Good distance from everything though. Short distance from a few clubs which... More

I thoroughly enjoyed my time at the hostel. The staff were helpful and friendly; provided a warm and comfortable environment for all new arrivals to settle in. Although this statement may not hold as I am aware that the staff are switched with an annual regularity; refer to more recent comments regarding. The hostel is regularly cleaned, especially because the... More

The rooms were a bit cramped but it had all of the expected amenities (including free towels if you requested - thank goodness!). BUT, the whole place was hot. Like steamy. It felt like a sauna in my room, and smelled like it.

I had to give this hostel credit for its great security and the fact that you can get Nutella with breakfast. There is also a bar that exists, though in my short stay, I never saw it open. They have a lending library, which I personally liked, and they played movies and shows on TV which was cool. The staff... More

Stayed for a night and it was decent enough. Good, clean linen and not uncomfortable beds. The communal area and the place in general could be spruced up a bit, but this is very much a typical hostel observation... The communal kitchen access and basic facilities were good, along with help yourself breakfast. This place will always be busy because... More

Great little hostel. Decent beds and linen (pillows are a bit sad but that sort of comes with the hostel territory). Nice common area and bar, too! Good prices on drinks. Key codes on the front doors and all dorm doors. This was my first ever stay at a hostel and I have to say I really enjoyed it! I'm... More

I was staying at Oxford Backpackers during one day because I had a job interview there. I must say the staff so polite and helpful, I did my check out at 10:30 but like I had my interview at 13h. I didn't have any problem to use all the facilities of the backpackers. Very quite, very good location and in... More
