We enjoyed our stay. We had a room with a king sized bed and another with a twin. Both were fairly small. There was no traffic noise as we were on the garden side. The breakfast was okay but nothing special. The staff were helpful. We felt it was over priced for what you get.

Although this was the tiniest room I stayed in during a month-long solo trip to the British Isles, sometimes good things come in small packages. I found the room bright and cozy, and the en suite was actually rather spacious. I loved the tasteful decor of the house and the location worked well for me. I took a taxi there... More

Parklands hotel is in a perfect position for a few days in lovely Oxford the bus into the town is outside the hotel and the tour bus stops just down the road (highly recommended) The room was i bit on the small side but the on-suite was superb The service was good with nothing to much trouble the breakfast was... Nice B&B, very clean with good facilities. The room was supposed to be a superior double but it was very small & subject to lots of traffic noise if you want window open as it overlooked busy main road. Great reception on arrival. Sadly the thing which let this B&B down was the somewhat sloppy approach to guests by certain... More

Lovely old house converted to top quality B&B. 15 mins walk to Oxford city and 10 minutes to Summertown high street with supermarkets, shops, restaurants, cafés, etc. Great and helpful staff, very good breakfast. Highly recommended.

Parklands provides an easy walk into Oxford town or an even easier base for exploring the restaurants and bars of Jericho. Lovely old building, clean and comfortable rooms, decent breakfast as well. Overall Parklands represents very good value for money in what can be an expensive town. I will certainly return.

The Parklands is a lovely old North Oxford house in a good location, a short distance out of the city centre; the welcome is unobtrusive (never anyone in reception anytime I came in and out, which was fine as it meant that it felt a bit like walking into your own house - there's a bell to press if you... This hotel / B&B is a little bit worn down if you look “in the corners”, especially outside, but it is spotlessly clean and with a good atmosphere. Staff is attentive, especially in the breakfast restaurant. It is very easy to find, and it is within walking distance of Oxford’s city centre, which is very nice. Beware: There is no... More

We were lucky to find a room available at short notice when we spent a Friday night in Oxford, rather than drive home to Herefordshire after the theatre. It was our first visit to Parklands, and we were very impressed. A compact room, but very comfortable and bright, with a great bed and ample storage. Only one strange feature -... More

Everything that I have praised in the past remains true. But there were new events worth reporting. I needed to go shopping but had arrived in early evening. I asked if the owner knew when M&S closed. While I unpacked he found out and told me within a few minutes. At breakfast a visiting American asked if there was a... More
