At the corner with Linton Road, parklands B & B is fairly comfortable BUT when I stayed in Room 38 on the 3rd floor and highest floor, i had to climb 35 steps and 4 flights of stairs to get there!! With a suitcase after a flight from Austria, this is not something you volunteer for! Lucklily the staff, helpful... More

When we arrived at The Parklands it was wet ,cold and miserable outside, but the warm smiley face that greeted us was extremely refreshing.Everything was explained clearly, breakfast, route to town, buses, and we were told anything at all was no trouble......a true genuine host. Our bedroom was excellent, coffee making facilities, red hot shower ,comfy bed and plenty of light. We had a grand night in Oxford, had a... I needed a 'value' B&B close to the City for two nights. Family bereavement just after I arrived curtailed my stay to one night. Manager couldn't have been better. Genuine concern and reassurance about cancellation of one night, (after normal cancellation period), resolved with one phone call to booking agent. Single room was small, yes, but quite adequate, well-appointed and clean... More

Very nice B&B, a short 20 min walk to the city centre. The breakfast was very good and the bedrooms were comfortable and clean. Reception staff and waitresses were very friendly and helpful! Overall a very pleasant stay at The Parklands.

We need to stay in or near Oxford fairly regularly, and usually either use one of the 'standard' chain hotels on the outskirts, or a country pub several miles out, given that most central Oxford hotels are outrageously expensive, and often have no parking available. Very glad to have found Parklands - a stroll into the town, very comfortable and... More

Have stayed at Parklands now four times, and am so impressed by it, having stayed in most other good hotels in Oxford. The superior double rooms are immaculate, with large comfortable beds, piles of pillows including continental, throws as well as duvets, and robes. Thoughtful features are bottles of water, and low level lighting in the bathroom to avoid putting... More

With over three dozen rooms this is not an ordinary B and B. We received an excellent reception and were able to access our room late morning. We received advice on local busses and restaurants. Parklands is very nicely furnished with a large public room for guests. Our room was on the second floor, so if you don't wish to... More

It's my second trip to Oxford, and like the previous time I chose to also stay at Parklands. The value of the hotel is unbeatable, location is a 5 minutes walk to Summertown, 20 minutes to city centre, and situated on a quiet street. Cooked breakfast is hearty and variety adequate. Rooms were very clean, only qualm I had was... More

We stayed here last night, we booked the super king room which had a lovely oak sleigh bed. The room was small but nicely decorated. The room was quiet as it faced onto the garden at the side. The bathroom was modern, but every small and with nowhere to unpack our toiletries. The breakfast this morning was lovely. Its a... More

You get what you pay for in this world and we think our vist to Oxford was enhanced by our choice of this b and b. Very happy with the room and the ensuite shower room, both of which were immaculate. Only slight quibble is the staff seemed remote and didn't really engage with us. Would stay again if visiting... More
