I stayed for one night at the Parkland in April 2015. It is listed as B&B, but really it's a small hotel. I had a double room with a lovely view of the garden. The bedroom was very clean, with nice bed covers, cushions, very fluffy towels, tea/coffee making and a room service menu for breakfast and drinks. The reception... More

Stayed for one night. Great B&B; very friendly lady checked me in and gave me a map and directions. The hotel is a pleasant 10-15 minute stroll in to the centre of Oxford. The breakfast next morning as the best I've ever tasted. Lovely old house and grounds. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Excellent hotel for our one night stay and easy walk into town. Very well appointed and comfortable, but we should have asked for a quieter room. No fault of the hotel but we live in a semi rural situation and did notice the road at night even though it was fairly quiet after midnight on a weekday. Very efficient and... More

This is a great B&B. The room was clean and well-furnished, and the en-suite was very clean with a good shower, both in terms of temperature and water pressure. A good selection of tea and coffee options and a kettle were also provided. The included breakfast was very well cooked and there were several hot options, together with some decent... More

Poached eggs to die for....a good choice of menu excellently cooked, good service all round, comfortable bed, good variety of teas in the room. Water and biscuits. The shower was a bit feeble and it was awkward to fill the kettle from the sink. Very convenient for the city with buses running every five minutes from just up the road.... More

Very good. Not excellent, but really very good. Clean, comfortable, well placed: it IS 15 minutes walk from the city centre (provided it is a rather brisk walk). In my experience, the staff was friendly beyond measure. Since I was attending a long conference, all I really needed was a bed and a bathroom - and this is where my... More

Parklands was recommended to us by our daughter who had stayed there last year. It was very clean and the breakfasts were well presented and tasty. It is a 15 minute walk into the city or you can get a bus from a nearby bus stop. The buses are frequent. We were given a twin room, which was small but... More

A nice if not inexpensive b & b. Lots of variety in the rooms, great breakfast. Good parking although the squirrel poo is a bit of a nightmare (I kid you not). Walking distance from the centre and train station (or 5 mins in a taxi). Overall high recommended.

excellent guest house, very accommodating and helpful staff. they accommodated our daughter to have breakfast with us even though she lives in Oxford. Also arranged for taxi service for our very early departure. very clean and cozy room, very good breakfast. rooms may have been small, but most European hotels are. Wi-fi worked well.

Very good central location only 5 minutes away from centre by bus and even within walking distance. Had single occupancy of double bed room.Every comfort and very clean, good quality towels etc, very good breakfast.I agree with other comments re noisy chatter from breakfast kitchen. At £80 per night I expected at least being able to unpack and hang my clothes. No chance,room... More
