I visited the hotel for a short stay with my husband. The hotel was very clean and modern. Breakfast room was charming, and breakfast itself was superb ! The Brazilians who run the hotel are warm and friendly, I would definitely go back to this hotel. more

We stayed only one night in the Galaxie, but it was a very pleasant one. A nice and clean room, good service and friendly staff. Plus a good breakfast with real, freshly squeezed orange juice! A rarity on these isles :-) The breakfast and bar area is very bright and charming. If I would have one suggestion, it would be... more

I was made welcomed as soon as I entered the hotel. I was guided to my room which is very rare these days.My room and shower were very clean. Exellent breakfast in a very pleasant dining room and enjoyed an extra cup of coffee sitting in the garden. I shall definitely stay at the Galaxie next time I visit Oxford. more

I was over in Oxford for two weeks on business and stayed at the Galaxie as my clients had recommended it to me. I wasn't disappointed. The staff couldn't do enough for me and really made me feel at home. Obviously, according to other reviews, some people were not happy, but I had no problems. Free parking and internet access... more

We arrived in Oxford at 9.00pm on a Friday night. We were booked to stay at Adams Guesthouse just down the road from The Galaxie Hotel. When we arrived, it was deserted. We were completely lost and didn't know what to do. We wandered down the street in our anger and happened upon the Galaxie Hotel. The staff were wonderful,... more

Very friendly staff, room was very modern with large walk-in shower, full English breakfast with all ther trinmmings served with lovely smiles. A really relaxing place - no faceless chain hotel here. more

I recently had a medium sized group of people from all over the world staying at Galaxie. As you can imagine, it's hard to please everybody in such a diverse group. From the point when I first contacted them, to the point when the last person checked out, the staff at Galaxie were really friendly and helpful. The hotel itself... more

This is the second time we have stayed in this hotel, but this time we were given a very small room. I kept hearing a noise that sounded like drilling, but I came to to release that it was the lift. By chance I overheard a guest being given a security number to get into the hotel at night, this... more

Where do I start? Owner that tells bare-faced lies, uncooked sausage (with no apology from the chef/waiting staff - ignored by first waitress!), sleepless night, tiny bedroom, trickle of a shower, noisy road (useless single glazing) and to top it all off, a wedged-open firedoor that I was not allowed to keep closed. I think what I'm most angry about... more
