Went to Oxford last weekend and the Galaxie Hotel was lovely and great value for money. Excellent location and friendly staff. Only negative was breakfast finishing at 9am, would prefer it to run a little later. Rooms modern and clean.

Had an unexpected stopover in Oxford. Looked at trip advisor reviews and called a couple of Hotels late in the afternoon for immediate occupancy. This was a good choice. The initial call was answered by the receptionist, a very friendly and helpful lady. On arrival it is not a spectacular facade but once inside it is clear to see it... More

We chose the Galaxie as it is well located for both travel into Oxford and Summertown pubs and Restaurants. My wife and I stayed for 2 nights and were warmly welcomed by the receptionist. Having arrived a little early to check in we were shown to the lounge area to wait for a short while. We were allocated room 302... More

This hotel was located well, with good local amenities & good access to oxford & the m40. I'm a business client and booked on booking.com as I travelled from Southampton to Wetherby in Yorkshire. When I booked, the photos looked great and I expected a normal sized room with wet room and modern fittings. When I arrived, the reception and... More

A great find, used as a base for a weekend in Oxford with the city center bus stopping right outside. Nice clean room with very friendly staff. Free car park at the located at rear which although busy we had no trouble parking Would definitely stay again.

This small B and B had everything that we needed, from the beautiful decor, and clearly recent decoration, to our large room with microwave and electric wine cooler! Room was large but having only one bedside table was a drawback. Only offers breakfast, but a full one and freshly cooked english. No need for other meals as lots of restaurants... More

Stayed 2 nights with disabled wife, even though disabled facilities were non-exsistant which was a great pitty, the staff were excellent and could not help enough. Plenty of parking available. Breakfast was at a rather odd time of the morning and cut rather short which meant rushing to ensure you did not miss out, plenty to choose from to eat... More

We stayed for a single night in a standard double room. Whilst it has everything you you expect for a hotel, everything is quite cramped. Not sure why in a small room they opted for an oversized bed frame, which leaves little room to move around the room. The bathroom is very nice with an excellent shower. Breakfast was great... More

£106 overnight price tag was (considering it was Oxford) good value for money. Central Oxford (all the colleges and tourist bits) is around 1.5 plus miles away straight walk south. However, there is a bus stop outside and a cab will probably cost you £6-7. There is a £5 min charge I was told. Wi-Fi in hotel is very good... More
