We arrived a little early and when we checked in we were informed that the room allocated was ready but only had a shower and we were asked if this was acceptable. We said we preferred a bath and that we were quite happy to wait. The receptionist then spent a good deal of effort to find us a room... More

Stayed one night in a premium room. Check in was quick and efficient, room was a bit of a trek and the direction signs could be clearer but I got there in the end. The room was spacious, comfy and well equipped. Bar and restaurant service and quality was good if not a little overpriced. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty... More

Although the hotel was adequate for our purposes, we felt it didn't live up to a 4* rating. Both our double room and the bathroom were small. Had to unpack and put cases "out of the way" to have room to move. The general decor of the room could have been updated. Generally, it seemed like a budget chain "lodge"... More

Excellent Stay. Highly recommended. We stayed for my birthday and to see a family member. We asked to change rooms which was no problem to reception and the chamber maids. All the staff are very friendly and are professional Richard (F & B restaurant) & Carl Davies are very professional. Chambermaids, cleaners were brilliant on our recent stay 14-18th may

I stayed at The Oxford Hotel at Godstow Rd for 4 nights from 4 May 2013 till 7 May 2013. It tooks about 15 mins drive from the Oxford train station. It is actually quite far from the Oxford town. The receptonist at the front desk is not friendly as I ask her few questions regarding Oxford and she already... More

Thank you for all your comments. We appreciate your feedback. We are pleased that you enjoyed your room, bed and cleanliness. Thank you for complimenting our breakfast. We are located 2.5miles from the city centre, with a frequent bus service just outside the hotel - taking 5-10 minutes to the centre. Taxi services usually range from £6-9, subject to location... We had a travelzoo voucher deal. It had been a bit awkward booking the room as central reservations thought it was full. but the hotel said they were not , but after a few days it was sorted out and we were booked in for dinner bed and breakfast. We were in room 148 and it was tiny. Comfortably furnished... More

The hotel is easy to find, with plenty of parking, and the communal areas are all really well kept. The service is good, and always with a smile, but there's perhaps a couple of minor issues we came accross - we requested an extra pillow and for the in-room safe to be unlocked for us. We got the pillow straight... More

The Oxford seemed very much a business-oriented hotel, which has both good and bad implications for holiday travellers. It was a lot larger than I had expected, which meant that it had pretty good common facilities. I did not partake during my stay, but the in-room dining menu was quite impressively large. The hotel was very conveniently located (and clearly... More

This was my second stay at the Oxford Hotel. It's a very clean, motel-like establishment, which often hosts conferences. It's not convenient for those who wish to visit Oxford. There is a very convenient bus, which takes you to the center in about 15 minutes, however, traffic is tremendous during rush hour on the one lane each direction road going... More
