We arrived after a not so long journey from visiting Worcester and were delighted to see a lovely display of flashing blue Christmas lights on the mature trees outside of the Inn. Parking was easy in the secure car park and after dropping our luggage off in our very cosy oak beamed room ( with a very nice modern en... More

First time our family stay here, we immediately greet by warmth welcome of Peet and George. From then on, every time we have a chance to come toOxford, we always spend our time here. Rooms very nice and we can experience the old style travelers way of life. We are booked for this coming trip on 12th December 2015.

This was the worst stay in the UK. Terrible atmosphere. Run by rude loud mafioso style owners. The ceiling is about 6ft high. No lights, the ones they had weren't working. It really didn't feel clean at all. If you're not afraid of rats the extremely loud pub will ruin your sleep anyway.

We were on the 3rd floor, up a rickety staircase that looked very fragile. We had to bend our heads to get to the room, and when we got there we were surprised. It was 'decorated' in black with purple accents. But the worst thing was the lack of lights. My husband had to shave in a black bathroom with... More

Disappointing for the money. The outside welcome did nothing to excite us as we viewed flaking paintwork and dead flowers and leaves. Our room was fine and the bathroom recently renovated, all perfectly clean. Little things like the bathroom lock did not work and the back of the wardrobe was hanging off plus the duvet and pillow cases not ironed... More

We stayed for two nights Bed & Breakfast at this hotel, during a reunion at my college - 5 minutes' walk from it. The room was on the first or second floor overlooking the street, though it is difficult to be precise because the hotel, being at least 300 years old, has grown almost organically! The room was fine, though... More

We arrived at the hotel late in the evening. Instantly even we could not understand where is the hotel. We could not find the reception. Someone drunk man seeing our confusion, said us that the ceck in is carried at the bar. Since it was a Saturday evening at the bar was a lot of people and very loud. What said... More

The room was basically fine and the wifi worked ok. The bathroom must have been modernized recently and was good, although no soap dish etc in the shower meant bending down to pick things up. Although located above a pub, there wasn't too much noise from the locals. The walls were somewhat thin, though, as I could hear other guests... More

This was a one night stay and we thought it very good value for money. Free secured parking, 5min walk to Magdalen Bridge. Good breakfast included, our room 7 was very clean and comfortable. The landlord allowed us to leave our car foc the following day which was fantastic. Very friendly welcome. One problem, we are real ale drinkers so... More

Our room was not ready even though it should have been from 2pm and we arrived at 2.30pm. We left our bags walked around came back and were given a "self contained " flat. It was a converted stable in the pubs car park. It was awful. Mould in the bathroom. Water poured through the ceiling through a light fitting... More
