This is without doubt the worst place I have ever stayed. It was horrendous on every possible level. The building is disgustingly dirty and shabby throughout. We were met by a very inhospitable man who was clearly not interested in customer service, shown where to park in a scrap yard behind the house, and then shown into room in a... More

I've booked the place for its price. I didn't have any big expectations After some of the reviews but I was surprise cause it wasn't so bad. Bed was ok, bathroom cleaned. We even could choose a room. Yes the man at the desk was a bit cold and the breakfast didn't worth to wake up (service at the breakfast... More

An experience from the Middle Ages; I didn't expect to escape alive and I still fear that my sanity will never return. Avoid unless you are nostalgic for The Black Death. My bed was wretched and the smell still haunts me. The sound of screaming and violent heaving kept me awake all hours, and I fled at first light.

This place survives because it's £25 a person and everywhere else in Oxford is 4 times that. We stayed as a group of 8 blokes for one night as part of a stag do and were glad to have safety in numbers. Beds were falling apart, mattress's were just springs, one of the rooms had poo stains on the shower... More

This is quite frankly the worst place I have every stayed in my life. I would not recommend staying here to my worst enemy. The room was dirty, smelly and I couldn't bring myself to use the shower. A foul odour was present during the entire stay, I which we were in the room and hotel as little as possible!

From start to finish this place was a disgrace. Greeted by a rude obnoxious man, payment on arrival is unheard of normally on departure, parking area was a scrap yard, I may as well have slept on the floor with quality of bed, shower was feeble, breakfast was awful, this guy is a conman period. Stay here at your peril.... More

You're better off staying in a youth hostel. In the morning I found out there was no running water what so ever. I couldn't even wash my face. I went downstairs to find a manager and the lady doing breakfast could not find him for me so I was not able to make a complaint on the day. I thought... More

My girlfriend and I visiting Oxford booked for 1 night in the Nanford Guest House. I Chose Nanford Guest House based on availability, its reasonable price and good location. Booking last minute I was shocked to find that almost all B&B’s and hotels in Oxford were fully booked, therefore, when I came across Nanford I rushed to book without checking... More

This is a cheap, hostel style hotel with rickety stairs and very old furniture and fixtures! My room was clean and the bed comfortable, and there were plenty of tea bags. However it does look rather run down and spooky! The proprietor I spoke to was polite and the breakfast chef friendly. Breakfast was well cooked and plentiful. Really this... More

I booked into this death pit because I was in Oxford on a stag weekend. My friends had arranged for 15 of us to sleep on a barge in the city centre which only had 6 beds, and so I'd decided to find alternative accommodation. When I arrived I was immediately creeped out my the owners who looked like brothers.... More
