Going on a trip to Oxford with the girlfriend, a city full of culture and intrigue . . . what could go wrong? So we made the unforgivable error of not checking trip advisor beforehand and got taken in by the proximity to the city centre and the cheap price of this establishment. Lesson learned. Where to start with this... More

I stayed here for one night and was so scared that I had to put the chest of drawers in front of my bedroom door . I left at first light with out having the breakfast . It was the most frightening place I have every had to stay.

compared to this dump ! In case some weary traveller thinks it "can't be that bad"- it is! And worse! (Read other reviews.) Had the unfortunate experience of staying here during a commencement weekend when nothing else was available. It truly ranked #1 as the worst place ever stayed in 20 years of serious travel. Filthy, dirty, stinky, falling down... More

Whilst a agree with the majority of the reviews as this is probably the worst place I have ever stayed. You have to keep in mind the price - it is cheap and usually has rooms going at little to no notice but I think that's because (From my own experience) when you book a room in advance they give... Room 5 above entrance door, Very smelly room, 9sqm, tiny window to noisy Iffley Road, 12" TV of 1975 and no reception of any channel, supertiny bathroom and sink and toilet 2sqm, no hot water during the day.. didn't try the breakfast. Stayed 2 nights because of location. One night too many... You just want to leave asap.

We were staying as we were playing live music locally.I had read the reviews and knew what to expect. It was very cheap for Oxford and our room was reasonably clean. The shower didn't work very well, the holes were blocked. The receptionist was slighly abrupt, the owner apparently. He asked for payment up front-no problem. He went for a drink with my friend... More

I stayed here for one night. It was a for a work do and I had to pay out of my own pocket so I went here because it was cheap and I knew I would be drunk. The place is like a building site. The first odd thing I noticed is that there were loads of cats in rubble... More

After walking through the front door of this guest house It was clear to me that is the most dirtiest filthiest place I have ever been to and after been shown the room I was even more disgusted with the bathroom and the attitude of the receptionist was appalling he didn't care when approached about the cleanliness of the room... Never seen in my life a so filthy and badly kept place. Humidity that can kill you. Change of bedding every 10 days. To fit under the shower you must bend your knees, unless you are less than 165 cm. A very interesting spiders breeding, here you will discover 4 or 5 different species at least. Be careful in the... More

This is without doubt the worst place I have ever stayed. It was horrendous on every possible level. The building is disgustingly dirty and shabby throughout. We were met by a very inhospitable man who was clearly not interested in customer service, shown where to park in a scrap yard behind the house, and then shown into room in a... More
