Stayed here for luckily one night only & the only reason we went through with it is because at the late stage we arrived we couldnt find anything else. Lack of any accommodation left in Oxford led us to stay at this filthy, minging toilet. This place smells of pee/smoke, has appalling decor, is noisy, has junk everywhere and is so tired it's fallen asleep. We didn't dare have anything cooked for breakfast. I wouldn't recommend this place to a rat though I'm sure some rats haven't heeded this... more

We have read the other reviews about Nanford on this site and cannot really agree with them. Yes it is a rather dated guesthouse (old style carpet, narrow staircases, old decor), but it had a hell of a lot going for it, and was well worth the 40 pounds per night per double room. I booked in at the Nanford before realising the joys of reading reviews on hotels. This place is cheap - so understandably I anticipate cheap accommodation!
