We arrived at the hotel on Monday and stayed through Thrusday, I was completely suprised at how friendly everyone treated us. The room was extremely clean, and everyone seem to be ready willing and able to help us with any needs we had. Even Julian the manager had a pint with us and gave us some history on the area... more

Having travelled from the states on business in the Bucks/Berks Counties I used the Oxford Belfry as my base. My room was amongst the best I've stayed in around Europe and the ambience of the hotel enabled me to conduct some of my meetings on the premises. I stayed at this hotel for a business trip. It all sounded very grand and comfortable and I was looking forward to staying. However, when I got to my room there was mould in between the tiles in the bathroom and, all up the shower curtain. The room also smelled 'musty' not great consdering the price they charge per room.... more

So disappointed in this hotel - had to wait 15 minutes to check in, albeit it the staff were fine. Eventually got to my room after getting lost a few times (signposting is pretty horrendous - I agree with other reviewers) and it was real nasty: wallpaper peeling off, shower not working properly etc so I went back to complain.... more
