This hotel was so centre to station and town centre. The hotel was very clean and the beds very comfortable! The service was second to none and any queries or requests were met with positive response! The only negative, although not a problem for us was the noise level outside. It was a Saturday night, and half term, and we... More

Traveling by train from Stratford, we welcomed this easy location. Then traveling by bus to Blenheim Palace, we were even happier with the location. Very reasonable price for spacious, comfortable room and lovely bathroom with full-sized bathtub to soothe tired feet. Fun complimentary treats. Usual convenience of holding bags for the day. Full breakfast option which we elected not to... More

I run a small charity that meets in Oxford annually. Every year for the last five years we have booked about ten rooms in the hotel. This year we did as normal, but two days before our stay one of our number had to drop out of the meeting. We cancelled the room but the hotel applied a 100% cancellation... More

The staff at the front desk and cleaning staff are excellent and really make this place. The room was fine -- nothing spectacular for the enormous price, but that's Oxford for you. The bed was lumpy and the walls thin, but they are generous with the amenities in the room (fruit, coffee/tea, cookies), which partially makes up for the fact... More

Make no mistake, Oxford accommodation is expensive. For what you get, it is cheaper to stay in London - but then, Oxford is exceptional in many ways, so I guess it is worth paying through the nose to be there. The Royal Oxford is fine. No lift, but make your way up the creaky stairs, bit of a rabbit warren... More

The Royal Oxford Hotel is an excellent choice for conference delegates, short-term tourists and visiting parents of students at Oxford University. It is extremely clean, with the fluffiest towels in England, sweet, smooth bed sheets, lots of coffee and cookies, a full (if pricey) English breakfast (presented with an Asian flair and the traditional, delicious grease), and, most impressive of... This hotel is very close to the station, we are fairly active and got there in 3 minutes. The rooms were clean, comfortable beds and pillows (we stayed in two different rooms) with a holiday in between. Tea, coffee, chocolate, water and fruit in the room all complimentary. Close to restaurants and bars. However for £132 per night with no... More

We recently stayed for a night. Lovely bright, clean and comfortable room with great little touches I.e. fruit, water and yes making facilities. Great location, just a short stroll from everything, absolutely no need to move the car once there which was very important to us ... Parking at Staples definitely recommended! Would say shop around for breakfast though as... More

This hotel is quite pricey compared to some 3*s, but you won't find much for less in Oxford. The staff are polite and happy to give any information required. The room we had was clean and very spacious. Comfy bed and plenty of fruit/biscuit snacks. The bathroom is clean with plenty of hot water, toiletries and towels. Although it could... More

Good hotel very close to the train station. It doesn't have its own car parking but you can park in Staples car park (2 doors down) for £5 a night, which is a bargain - and very secure (they put down shutters at night so you can't leave!). Very close to the castle, shops, bars and pubs so was perfect... More
