I have stayed at the Randolph and Malmaison in the past, so I thought I would give this boutique hotel housed in a former bank a try out. Two of the key attractions are the central location on High Street, and the large car park, accessed from Merton St and Magpie Lane through a narrow gate. On arrival the staff... More

Great staff, room, restaurant, bar, location, and fabulous guide for a walking tour -- one of our all-time favorite hotels! Contemporary art complements the historic feel of the building and rooms, and small details like free sparkling water in glass bottles in each room, a lovely big bathtub, and turn-down service create the feel of a special place.

We have just returned from a superb city break in Oxford. The Old Bank is perfectly located, the staff are courteous and very helpful, the room was quiet (looking on to the courtyard) as requested, the bathroom was lovely, with both a good shower and a bath with shower attachment, the breakfast was of high quality, the other meals we... The hotel is essentially across the street from the Radcliffe Camera and easy walking distance to many of the Oxford colleges. Plus, it is easy walking distance to the main shopping areas and dining options. It is also impressive how the historic property was converted to a modern hotel. The staff is very accommodating and personable. The only thing that... More

I stayed in Room 31 this time (this is my third visit) and the room is oddly shaped with quite low attic type ceiling. Probably not an ideal room for those who are tall. I wanted to stay an extra night and was told that the room was going to be 400 pounds - definitely wouldn't have been worth it!... More

The room was spacious and there was a shower and a bath. Great location and a Patisserie Valerie is right next door.. I would definitely stay... More

Stopped here on Easter Sunday for a treat. We only fell out once trying to find the hotel but eventually we guided ourselves around the back streets to a tight entranced car park at the rear of the hotel.check in was excellent with the library room available dor)early check in and coffee, then up to the room. Inital impression a... More

We have stayed at the Old Bank several times now. It isn't the excellent location, comfortable and well equipped rooms or tasty food that keeps us coming back. It is the warmth of the welcome, the efficiency of the management and the superb, top quality staff, who always make you feel really special. It isn't the cheapest hotel in Oxford,... More

We stayed here three nights. The location is perfect! It is close to all the best pubs, museums, and covered market. It is also close to all the historic Oxford buildings. The beds are super soft. The staff are very helpful and kind. One Tuesday a month, a man arrives in the car park with a Harris hawk. The purpose... More

We stayed a couple of nights at the OBH and could not have been more satisfied. Already upon liaising with them before we got there, we had the impression of a swift and efficient service - and it is what it has been throughout. The staff is really attentive and tries everything to help you spend a nice time -... More
