Great hotel right in the center of Oxford. Best location, walk to everything. They have their own free car park-a must for the center of Oxford. The service was exceptional. We stayed in room 41, on the top floor, looking out on the street with views over the tops of the buildings of Oxford. This was a standard room- beautifully... more

Stayed a weekend at the end of June. The central location (it is plumb in the centre not within 10-15 mins walk as a previous reviewer stated) and the free car park were big selling points. Reception and all other staff were charming, keen and most helpful. Quod Brasserie has a great buzz with folk popping in all day; judging... more

I stayed here with my partner in May. We were very impressed with the service and found staff always happy to help. The room (10), whilst tired in places, was spacious and well appointed. Despite overlooking the High Street, it was quiet and we were very pleased with the view. The food was very good indeed, and the resident duck... more

I found this property after deciding to stop in Oxford, even though it wasn't even mentioned in Rick Steve's Great Britain book. What a find! We have been travelling since June 10th (about 10 days - 3 properties) and this is far and away the best place we have stayed. The service was exceptional, the location across from Oxford perfect,... more

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Old Bank Hotel for a couple of nights over New Year. The room was lovely, location is about a 5/10 min walk into town. The hotel has a lovely brasserie attached to it with a great atmosphere and also good for drinks after a meal. I would reccomend going to Jamies Italian (Jamie... more

Wonderful hotel. Friendly and extremely helpful staff: they really went out of their way to be helpful. The room was comfortable and beautifully decorated. The hotel is decorated with real artwork - not the usual synthetic hotel-art. It's centrally located in Oxford, within easy walking distance of everything. There's an excellent restaurant in the hotel, and a terrace cafe that... more

We booked a short break in Oxford and carried out lots of research at to which hotel we should use. We looked at the main three - The Malmasion, The Randolph and the Old Bank. We are so glad we chose The Old Bank. When we arrived we parked our car in the private car park at the back of... more

The location of the Old Bank, right in the heart of the city, can’t be beaten but this lovely hotel offers much more than that. Our room was at the front on the first floor with a view towards the University Church – I spent a happy time people-watching from one of our room’s two window seats. I can imagine... more

The Old Bank Hotel is a great place to stay when visiting Oxford. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, the rooms comfy and nicely decked out - and the service is top notch. The owner also collects art and his superb collection is displayed throughout the hotel which makes a change to corporate-type 'artwork' usually hung on hotel walls. The... more

this was a mystery hotel which was very exciting and we were not disappointed. 5* room was out of this world it was like an apartment with a beautiful crescent bay window the only critisism was we had no tea or coffee facility in room but the big advantage was its position and car parking facility. more
