The hotel is clean and comfortable and staff helpful. It is also very handy for getting into the City, being very close to the main bus route. Arriving late we decided to eat in the restaurant and were very disappointed. The main course was reminiscent of school dinners and the wine list not brilliant, would definitely not choose to eat... We read previous reviews and were a little worried that it might not be up to expectations. The reviews were wrong and we thoroughly enjoyed our very short stay. The hotel was really clean and the staff were very friendly. the restuarant was very nice and the food and service was excellent. Our room was lovely, clean and we were able... More

Oxford is an expensive place to stay. We visit relatives nearby frequently and usually stay in a village pub. On this occasion we wanted to stay in Oxford itself, and Linton Lodge had very reasonable rates. We were very pleasantly surprised at the twin room with two large comfortable beds, and a relatively spacious bathroom. Most hotels in Oxford charge... More

Upgraded to Executive suite. Clean, comfortable beds. Good sleep. Friendly service at reception and efficient in the breakfast room. Booking system excellent...the booking staff went above and beyond on hearing that we had experienced a bad hotel (NOT Bestwestern I hasten to add) a week earlier.

Hotel was in a handy location for a leisurely stroll into the centre but also near bus route. The price of the stay caused a problem and also the bathroom had a lot of small but important maintenance issues. The radiator would not adjust and the room was uncomfortably hot. On arrival we were given a book of vouchers, one... More

Many thanks Sheila for your review. I am pleased that you found the hotel to be in a handy location and as you mention within walking distance of the city centre. I have highlighted to you directly the issue with the free vouchers which you can use in the restaurant to claim a free course off the A la Carte... More

My husband and I visited this hotel last weekend to have a look around Oxford. The car parking was welcome and the lobby, restaurant and bar were well decorated airy and nice. There was a skip outside and we wondered if the hotel is in process of renovation. Go further into the hotel though and it all becomes a bit... More

Many thanks for your review and I am pleased that you enjoyed your stay overall. I apologise that the refurbishment contractors skip was in view upon your arrival. This was only here for a few days whilst the next phase of our refurbishment, was started which includes the room that you occupied. Like all hotels we take a pre-authorisation of a... More

The hotel is clean and basic. It is in a good location, about 20 minutes to walk into town. The staff are friendly and helpful. The only thing I didn't like was the bed,it was very soft and uncomfortable. Bare in mind that you have to pay for parking if you arrive before check-in or stay later than check-out.

This is not a destination hotel. You stay here when other (better) choices are not available. It's basic, no frills, and functional providing a bed for the night at a very reasonable price (GBP 95) It's not especially close to the city centre but there is parking for your car. Breakfast is OK but not in any way special. The... More

This stay was for a birthday treat for my daughter and her two friends and we booked a family room which was clean, modern and spacious. We stayed at a hotel further out of oxford a month ago and found this one far superior in decor and services available. Great offers on too. A bit far out of the centre... More
