This is a really nice and cosy guesthouse with a dining hall at the ground floor and rooms on the two floors above. The couple who owns the place have been running this for over 20 years. They made me feel at home. I am a vegetarian and every morning they served freshly cooked veg breakfast. This is located on... More

You can expect a warm and friendly welcome in this lovely guest house. Rooms are clean, modern and bright, lovely ensuite. One of the best breakfasts I've ever had in B&B - bowl of fresh fruits, boiled eggs done to perfection, as much coffee as I could drink. Thoroughly recommend.

B and B very handy for Oxford centre, possible 10-15 minutes by foot, 5 minutes on bus. Friendly service in B and B, though rooms and particularly bathrooms comfortable but very small. Standard no frills breakfast. Price reasonable i think for Oxford.

What I want from a B&B is a clean room, comfy bed and a good breakfast. Brown's delivers on all 3. It's not luxurious, but it's handy for the city centre (20 mins brisk walk or frequent buses) and the proprietors are warm and friendly. Oxford is an expensive place to stay and Brown's prices are par for the city.... More

I stayed at Browns for a night with my family which included 5 people and a 2 year old baby, the place was warm clean and comfortable. The owners were very pleasant hospitable and accommodating being extra nice and considerate. Last but not least the breakfast and service was first class. Highly recommended

We were met and welcomed by a very nice host. The bed gave us a very good nights sleep being large and with good bedding but I'm afraid the bedroom itself was very uninspiring and needed some refreshing especially when we saw the rediculouslly small and unusable bathroom sink (it was also badly cracked). However the breakfast was very good... More

The owner was really friendly and made us feel very welcome during our stay. As a whole, the guest house was clean and comfortable but nothing spectacular. Good value for money for Oxford and a good location with a short bus ride into the centre. Only recommendation for improvement would be to replace one of the dining tables with a... More

What I loved about browns guesthouse was the cleanliness, bed, feeling of being at home rather than a guest house, the rooms are good for its size however the bathrooms are very small especially the sink its not usable at all I wonder why it has been there since am sure no adult can make a use of it.. The... More

Unfortunately, there were known plumbing problems during our stay. At times the water flow would not come on at all, or even worse, would cut-off mid shower! While the owners are quite nice and have adorable grandchildren... I really cannot give more than an average rating because members of our group were unable to shower during our 2 night stay.... A very comfortable bed and breakfast that I would highly recommend. We had a very comfortable and quiet double room with en-suite and views over the back garden. The full English breakfast was freshly cooked to order and really delicious. There is also a separate, comfortable lounge room for guests. The B&B is located about a 20 minute walk from... More
