This was the first B&B I ever stayed in and it was probably the best choice I could have made. The Email correspondence was easy and the people were really helpful right from the beginning. The bus from the train station drops you off literally 2 seconds from the entrance and connections to the city centre are perfect. The room... More

Stayed here for four nights at the end of January. Good location, value for money with clean, tidy and comfortable rooms. Breakfast was also excellent. You have everything you need from a B&B with TV, kettle, towels etc. Thanks Acorn!

We stayed here in late November and had the twin room with small ensuite at the front of the guesthouse. I chose Acorn based on good Tripadvisor revues and due to our budget and because we were touring with my car I needed a parking spot within easy walking distance of the city centre. It was a good choice as... More

In Oxford for a conference and choose the Acorn for its convent location and good reviews (plus price!). I was a little sceptical when I pulled up as the house doesn't have a lot of curb appeal. The door to reception was locked and it took 2 or 3 rings of the door bell for anyone to answer. But when... More

Have to say that this is a perfect B & B for a trip to Oxford. We walked into town most days and the owner wa really helpful on where to walk and places to go as well. A cab ride home though is also cheap after a night out! We had the room at the back of the house... More

We spent 2 nights at this very cosy guest house, and would highly recommend it of travelling to Oxford. Our room was very comfortable and light, and the breakfasts has a great range of choices. The only difficulty we had was to find somewhere to eat locally, there was not a good range to choose from.

Enjoyed my stay at Acorn. It would benefit from a bit of an update, decor was a little tired, but, the hosts were warm and friendly, rooms were clean, location is good, breakfast is reasonable and it basically represents good value or money.

Warm, friendly welcome. Decent sized room. We stayed on the top floor, at the back of the house overlooking the garden. Location: unless you're particularly athletic you'll be using the no3 bus. A 5min ride from the centre. Recommended!

I had 3 nights in this Guest House and the room was just perfect. It was tastfully furnished with very clean. The ensuite shower room was equiped with all the essentials including cotton buds and liquid soap. The bedlinen and towels were professionally laundered. It was within a short walk to the Isis and the riverside walk to town but... More
