We have just stayed at Adams for 2 nights, and can assure will not be returning. Agree with what has already been written. The front of the house is in a bad state of repair, and we wondering what it was going to be like inside. Well it did not get any better. There was mould all over the wall... More

Staff were unfriendly and only interested in receiving their payment and the breakfast so inedible that we had to resort to the Sainsbury's accross the road. On the plus side it was fairly clean and quite well connected with transport links into the city centre. If you looking for any sort of comfort and service spend a bit extra and... More

If only I had looked at Trip Advisor before booking a night at this quite appalling B&B. This place has been getting shocking reviews on here since about 2009 and in just a one night stay we witnessed nearly every issue on here. Really filthy room in parts, terrible tatty décor..........and these are the positives..... but clearly the Hosts are... More

Smelly bathrooms - bought bleach and airfreshener to try and clean them. Dilapidated furniture, dirty walls, carpets, grubby ceilings, walls, cramped room. Five days of purgatory. Landlady had poor language and communication skills, totally devoid of hospitality skills. Never asked how we were, (despite my wife being ill during the awful five nights we stayed there). Always surly and on... More

Quaint facilities with modern shower/bath. The hosts were hard to find and not terribly friendly. But it was a nice old house in a quiet neighborhood. I liked the breakfast area and the food was fine.

Stayed here with a group of friends for a birthday. (7 of us). We had 2 rooms and they were very basic, if that. We stayed in the family room and large room (£80 & £95). One if the rooms smelt very musky and damp. Mould covered the 'bathroom' if you can call it that. Very small rooms, both cramped.... More

Checked in at noon and left my bag in my room.Returned at midnight and left at 9am.9 hours was enough. I was in room 9 at the top. There is a skylight about 20 feet up in the ceiling and no window so no chance of any fresh air. The whole place needs redecorating it is a shambles. It just feels... More

If only I'd read Tripadvisor before booking. I was in Oxford for a weekend course and the 15 minute walk from town centre seemed fine and it was cheap. (£45 for a single). The 15 minute walk was in fact a 15 minute bus ride. The house looked tired and shabby, as was my room on the 2nd floor in... More

My friend and I were attending a conference in Oxford and wanted somewhere 'cheap & cheerful' for one night. Foolishly, I didn't check Tripadvisor. On another website this place had a rating of 5.9 out of 10 which sounded as though it would be basic but OK, and the photos didn't look bad. When we got there, just before 6pm,... More

I don't think I need add any more. Just find somewhere else. It isn't dirty but that's the only positive thing to say about it. I didn't bother to try the breakfast. tiny room at the top barely enough space to move. A depressing place to stay.
