Don't stay at this guest house.!You are asked for payment before you've even seen your room-there is no fridge in it,there is no bath tub,the bar is closed, the furniture is dated and the owners are rude. All this for eighty eight pounds for the night.Oh yes and breakfast finishes at nine-even though it was a sunday! Not a nice experience won't be... The bad: Arrived after confirming booking was for a double room the day before- had a single reserved. Luckily managed to sort out. worryingly the lady on reception was wearing a puffer jacket- reason soon became clear- it was freezing! Radiator dribbled out miniscule amounts of heat- and had clearly been off all day. After two hours of freezing and... More

I was staying in the single room with shared shower room. They charged £50 per night. The room was minute and double aspect. The windows were poorly insulated. As I went into the room the temperature dropped. I ended up sleeping in my clothes as it was so cold and the bedding was inadequate. The bed was uncomfortable. The shower... More

Welcome dreadful. Door opened to "what do you want" by person in a shiny track suit. Breakfast only available from 730 despite having to leave on business at. 730 offered initially to have cold breakfast delivered to room night before. When complained and demanded to speak to owner offered a cold breakfast but at least with milk etc to be... More

Stayed here while husband having op at John Radcliffe; really convenient being able to walk there so quickly and parking excellent. Room 9 comfy and warm, good shower and well-supplied hot drink tray. All I needed, but tiny towel a bit inadequate! Staff are polite and the breakfast good, delivered efficiently in a pretty room. Good price for Oxford, and... More

This guest house is a nice place to stay in Oxford. It is not far from the university setting and there is food, restaurants, and bus stops all within walking distance. We had a nice room on the first floor that had big sliding glass windows to the back yard. It is a peaceful setting. The breakfast served was average.... More

We have stayed many times at this Guesthouse, which is conveniently located, but, best of all, has a room with a balcony overlooking the garden. Our main gripe earlier has been the wifi system, which was atrocious, and certainly didn't work in the bedrooms - this time it is perfect, they must have got a new system. We read with... More

Having read the negative reviews here I really wanted to like the hotel. I like to root for the underdog. Sadly, it was fine by day but terrible at night. I arrived to a cosy and comfortable room, and in the morning had a hot shower. The staff were very friendly, interested in my stay and keen to make sure... More
