Do not bother staying at this hotel, save your money time and effort and book somewhere where the manager and staff know how to treat their guests. We were informed on arrival we could park opposite the hotel on the pavement - we queried this but at the time there were 4 other cars parked there so we parked along... More

I had the most WONDERFUL time at the new Ethos Hotel in Oxford, England, this summer. The place is brand spanking new with excellent facilities (very well appointed and carefully chosen), a perfectly working AC (for us Texans who are used to good AC!), thoughtful directions on how to use the TV system, Wifi, and after-hours front door locking system,... Ethos hotel is either very new or has recently expanded to a second building across the street. While our room was very nice, the hotel is in a residential neighborhood with no cafes or restaurants. It is not the most convenient location to Oxfordvtown center. The main problem was with service. It is a one-man show. The same person handles... More

Good checkin service and generous continental breakfast with lots of healthy fruit options as well as savoury choices....however room a little down at heal and could do with some basic maintenance.Location excellent and a pleasant walk into town situated in a quiet neighbourhood. Expensive but probably not by Oxford standards..

The rooms were well set up with a small kitchenette, however some things do not work or need maintenance, like a towel rail coming loose or a jug not working or freezer door falling off. We booked interconnecting rooms as we were travelling with children, which were not available on check in and we had to change rooms the next... More

We took a cab to this hotel from the train station to save wear and tear on our rolling luggage. We had a large room with basic facilities for eating and making tea or coffee, which we used. The wifi was excellent. Our room faced a quiet street and shared an entrance on the side with several other rooms, all... More

Visitors to Oxford normally choose between an expensive hotel or a hotel with very small rooms in the center of town, or an hotel or guest house that is fairly long walk from the center of town and the university. My wife and I accidentally discovered a great alternative, which is just a 10 minute walk from the center (Broad... More

This quiet hotel off the beaten path was the perfect base for us while we explored Oxford. A quick 10-minute walk to the center of town was a great way to start and end our day's adventures. Everyone who worked there from the front desk to the housekeepers were super friendly and accommodating and our room was fantastic. We were... More

Upon booking this hotel, we were aware that it was basic in services and amenities but were completely shocked by the staff. Not only was there no one to be found upon check-in but our lock on our door did not work at all. When we tried to ask if someone could look into the wifi and tv malfunctions in... More

The hotel was cute expensive. however, I got what I paid for! The room is HUGE, actually it is really less of a room and more of an apartment. There is a large living room, nice large bedroom, and even a decent sized kitchen and large bath by european standards. Frankly it is more of an apartment rather than a... More
