Visited the Ethos Hotel on 12-14 July. Nice location on a quiet side street close to the downtown area. Stayed in two rooms as we requested something bigger for the last night. The experience was good but somewhat variable and further attention to details is necessary to complete the room setups. The staff were, however, quite helpful: when we shifted... More

To be fair, the Manager was very pleasant and helpful and she bent over backwards to do the right thing, but this hotel just does not cut it. Cleanliness. If I am staying away from home, I do not want someone else's (whom I do not know) fingerprints on my bathroom mirror and wardrobe door. Our room had not been... More

Ethos Hotel is very conveniently located, about a ten minute walk to the center of Oxford, over the Thames and past the Head of the River. The rooms were extremely clean with lovely beds, nice and very modern bathrooms. We arrived early and the staff were very accommodating, storing our luggage until the room was ready; when we returned later,... More

My only complaint was that the carpet was considerably stained. While the reception and public areas are quite small, the staff is quite willing to do almost anything to insure that their guests have a wonderful stay. They bring a generous basket of continental breakfast items and each room is outfitted with a microwave, sink, fridge, and dishes. Coffee and... More

My husband and I stayed at the Ethos Hotel for three nights in April 2014. We were looking for a comfortable, affordable base from which to sight see and visit family in the Oxford area. We were very pleased with the Ethos. The hotel is located on a side street in a very quiet residential area just south of the... More

I booked this hotel as part of my partners birthday surprise yesterday, I had managed to get tickets for a comedy gig at the New Oxford theatre and chose this hotel to stay in over others due to the great reviews, lovely pictures online and it's convenient location to the city centre. My expectations were exceeded by the amazing customer... More

We recently stayed at The Ethos after searching for a reasonably priced B&B in the center of Oxford......not an easy task.....we were very happy with this hotel. The location was perfect, close enough to walk into the city centre but also near a bus route on the corner of Western Road and Abingdon Road. Our room was modern, spacious, clean and with the added... More

My husband and I have stayed at The Ethos Hotel twice now. We really enjoy the ambience of the hotel. Located on a quiet residential area just at the corner of Western Road and Marlborough Road, the hotel is 10 minutes walking distance from the city center. Others have commented with enthusiasm about this special hotel so I will only... More

We stayed at this hotel for one night along with relatives. Our accommodations was lovely being over two floors. However it is unforgivable for a hotel to have such unpleasant toilet pans. In both our room and relatives room the pans were thick with dirty lime scale stains and not what one would expect from a boutique hotel. Also there... More
