I stayed at the Catherine Wheel on a Thursday and Monday night each side of a festival. The hotel was in a good clean condition and offered parking for an additional charge. We drank and eat at the bar both nights and the food and drink was reasonably priced and of a good standard. The staff were all pleasant and... More

We visited the catherine wheel in august as a family of 3 with a toddler due to a wedding in Henley. We had been pleasantly surprised with the price upon booking so wasn't sure what to expect. Pros- the room was clean, quite and a good size with all of the facilities that you could possibly need. There was no... More

Visited The Catherine Wheel whilst at the Rewind festival for drinks and meals. As you can imagine the place was extremely busy but the staff managed to provide excellent value food with an amazing service!! The first visit was good and anticipated the service wouldn't be as good a second time round.... We were more impressed, busy Sunday lunches zooming... More

We were looking for some reasonably priced accommodation, and somewhere that we also knew would be serving food until late. The Catherine Wheel ticked those boxes. We had a late dinner there which was really good. We had a clean, comfortable room, and a lovely breakfast the following morning. All hotel and bar staff that we met were friendly, polite,... More

We stayed for 2 nights 16 -17th August, our first room 107 had no view and overlooking the air/ducts etc I asked Rec a very pleasant young man from Romania to try and find a better room which he did we then had room 206 which was on the front top floor but to get to it you have quite... More

Expectations were low but thi splace actually exceeded them. Location is excellent, car parking - you need to reserve a space. Bathrooms have been refurbed but not much done to the bedrooms. Carpets a bit tired. Bed was comfy but squeeky - glad I was on my own that night...!?!? Overall a decent place to stay and I would stay... More

The only reason I haven't given this a 5 score is because the parking is a joke!! One of our group paid £5 extra for parking but there was no space!! The staff park there one took up almost 2 spaces and when challenged about it the hotel receptionist said there's no set rule about parking but if they would... More

The Catherine wheel was great. We knew we had to park in a car park as there is limited space at the hotel. The room was big and had everything you needed. The staff were so attentive and very friendly. It is in a great location with a nice high street and of course the river within 2 minutes walk.... More

Very pleasant Hotel , good room only drawback was that the air conditioning ducting for the pub ( or something of that Ilk ) is located outside the window so there was a constant dull humming. We had room 109. Enjoyed the bar meals and breakfasts , very upmarket in comparison with our local Wetherspoon pubs but slightly more expensive... More

Well positioned close to river and in centre of town , rooms are well equipped but hotel parking is limited and tight , staff helpful and food average but not too expensive . Restaurant areas were very dark and dingy and not at all intimate but rather like a large barn. Our room was toward rear of hotel and was... More
