It was my first experience at a Wetherspoon Hotel & was very pleasantly surprised. The receptionist was very pleasant & welcoming. The single room was clean & comfortable & although we were told that it may be noisy later on, it did not materialise & I had a good nights sleep in a comfortable bed. Breakfast was adequate & served... More

Recently spent a lovely weekend here. Its very well run by friendly, professional staff. Welcome was pleasant and I asked for one of their quieter rooms. (Bring your earplugs if you are staying over a weekend) The room was beautiful, very spacious and had a full size bath and lovely fluffy towels in the en-suite . The beds and bedding... More

My first stay in a Weatherspoon's hotel. Very convenient o/n stay although was overlooking the High st and above Lloyds bar so imagine it could be noisy on a Fri/sat pm. Had to park 5 mins walk away but no great issue. Room and facilities clean, nothing flashy but modest and met all my needs. Staff very pleasant. Absolutely satisfactory... More

Excellent value for money, we stayed in a family room with two children, lovely clean room with a large family bathroom. Staff were extremely helpful, was told at booking and check in to expect noise from downstairs, although you could hear music it was not that loud it was a disturbance to us or our children. Used the bar for... More

Had a great time here. right in the middle of town and close to train station and river. Very good English food get a ham and fried egg sandwich and lots of beer/lager/ales. Really nice rooms and just a fun place to go. Oh if you go here make sure you reserve parking in back, not a lot of room... More

Stayed here with a large group of work colleagues for 2 nights. Room was a good size but always seemed dark/dull. Bed was comfy but window had a terrible draught so it was quite cold at night. Shower was rubbish though. 3 of us said the shower either stopped working or just trickled out luke warm water. Hotel is low... More

A first class hotel in every respect, good food, good prices, Reception was being manned by Susan very good at her job very pleasant and extreamly helpful, Susan did mention that Saturdays were busy in the bars and can sometimes be loud at about 1.30 am. but the beds are so comfy that we slept through the night and were... Five members of my family stayed one night. Very pleased with service, especially reception. Evening meal very good, bedrooms and en-suite very clean, comfortable bed. Lovely sitting outside having a drink with two visiting Australian friends.

stayed for 8 nights over two weeks. Very impressed with both the rooms I had. All the staff were very helpful. Would recommend booking the car park at the rear of the hotel in advance as places are limited. Have tried to stay here on two other occasions but fully booked up. Would stay here again.

Our first stay in a Wetherspoons hotel and we were very satisfied. The tastefully furnished room was clean, as was the bathroom. Comfortable bed with quality linen. Unexpected touches like complementary bottles of water (one still one sparkling) and biscuits on the tea tray were things we didn't expect. Would happily stay here again.
