We have stayed at The Falkland Arms many times and always found everything 1st class. This visit was even better. We were given a room 'in the house' as they call it, which is in fact an ancient thatched cottage some 100 yards up the lane. It was sheer heaven. The food in the tiny restaurant was excellent and service... More

Stayed here for 1 night in July 2014. Arrived in the morning at the beautiful village of Great Tew. Our room was ready for when we arrived and we were shown up to the top floor, in the eaves of the building. It was a very quaint room, overhead beams and 3 dormer windows with views over the beautiful countryside.... More

The setting of the Falkland Arms is unique, surrounded by period houses in a quaint village hidden from the madding crowds. The rooms are beautifully decorated and have all the creature comforts you need for a stay away all neatly laid out. The facilities are in the bathrooms are more than expected and the complimentary soaps are of a great... More

This is not only the most beautiful pub I know in one of the finest villages in the country. The level of service is in my experience unparalleled. Every member of staff was a delight and went beyond the call of duty in taking care of guests. We are very grateful for a very memorable stay. P.S. The food was... More

An amazing picture postcard setting in the country. We had two sharing platters which arrived promptly and whilst expensive were very good quality. The building is very old world and has amazing character. Well off the beaten track but worth a visit.

Visited on Saturday 21st June and had a light lunch; Bagettes priced at £7.50 were distinctly average and took 45 minutes to arrive. Would have expected them to be served with chips for that price, but this was an addtional £3 for a very small bowl. Choice of real ales was good but the overall experience was disappointing. The Falkland... More

We like the fact you can come and go as you please, and it has a relaxed charm. Good standard of room the ensuites are fairly small... More

Quirky, Rural and very very old atmoshpere, really did enjoy our stay here, so so quiet at night with the Windows open, when an owl hooted it sounded like it was in our room. Foxes barking and general rustling of wildlife outside give this place a lovely 'midsummer murders' feel of a part of traditional England you cannot help but... More

We had a weekend stay at the Falkland Arms and found the service; accommodation; food; and entertainment to be excellent. The hospitality offered by the staff team was exceptional; Benedict in particular is an asset to the establishment & could not have been more helpful. The Sunday night folk music was a bonus, we had a great time! This is... More
