A great base to explore the Cotswolds, the Falkland Arms is a beautifully old pub and hotel. We had room 6, up in the eaves - one of the nicest hotel rooms we have ever stayed in. The pub is cosy, lively and full of history. We enjoyed two evening meals and breakfasts here, all delicious. The staff were friendly... More

May 16 2015. What a beautiful Pub/Hotel. Loved the climbers on the outside wall and the quaint bar with all the mugs and tankards and jugs hanging from the beams. Original wood panelling and old settles. The staff very friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. As there were quite a few of us, they had reserved tables... More

The setting of the pub is just so quintessentially English hamlet! It is what it says on the tin "a pub" but it is so much more than that. It is quaint, quirky and delightful all at once. The rooms are clean tidy and more than adequate although if you're like me 6ft or more mind your head going up... More

We dropped in for a light lunch on Sunday. We ordered a charcuterie platter which, priced at over £12, I felt would be suitable for sharing. What a disappointment. Two small pieces of meat, a tiny salad with a shaving of parmisan , a tiny ramican of olives and cheese and 3 tiny slices of bread. Don't get me wrong... More

We stayed one night with friends and booked two rooms. One superior and one standard. The superior is larger than the standard, but both rooms were good, however the beds are perhaps to short for tall people. Wifi in the rooms, was very poor. Service was excellent, all of the staff where very, very friendly. Food was excellent. The Falkland... More

This pub looks fantastic from the outside and is equally amazing inside. An English pub at it's best! We stayed here for one night and wished it had been for longer. The service, along with excellent food and a HUGE range of whisky, made for one of the best experiences we have had in a long time. Jack and his... More

Two night break over the bank holiday weekend, in a picturesque chocolate box village. Gorgeous oldy worldy pub with fantastic staff, Jack & Ben and the rest of the guys there - nothing was too much trouble. Very attentive, great atmosphere nice to meet the locals, food was amazing breakfast and dinner. Room was great - we had room 5... More

Such a picturesque little hamlet in the middle of nowhere. We were given the 'cottage' room which was really a 2-level apartment, complete with washer/dryer unit - Good timing for US. Pub with lots of charm and quite a lively end of workday crowd, breakfast was also very good. Probably should have stayed a week instead of just a day...... More

This is a great pub - a slice of old England in a beautiful setting. The bedrooms are a good standard for a pub and great value - we had room 6 which is a tight staircase but well worth it,,,The evening meal was lovely and the breakfast delicious. Service was friendly and efficient. The other folk in the pub... More

Had a wonderful meal here for 12, nothing was too much trouble, great food and wine, ambiance, surroundings, staff went out of their way to make sure all was just right. A wonderful charming old English pub....
