We arrived for two nights and paid before seeing the room. The room given to us was tiny, dirty and unacceptable. It was difficult to get out of bed or stand in the bathroom because of the slope of the roof line. I returned to reception and complained. They don't care at this hotel. The following night there was a... More

Very central but totally uninteresting. The bar should have been popular and good but lacked any atmosphere at all with no happy, welcoming staff, music or reason to stay. However, Filippa the receptionist was lovely and breakfast was good with hard-working staff. We stayed in Room 30 which had the most uncomfortable saggy double bed I have ever had the... More

We just popped in for a drink and to have a look at this Pub/Hotel and were immediately impressed. The staff were charming, and the bar was so nice I decided to explore a bit. The rest of the public rooms were as characterful as the bar. I checked and they do have a car park, which is vital in... More

Stayed here as a base for exploring the Cotswolds. Chipping Norton big enough to provide facilities and interest and central to smaller villages. Very impressed with all the staff who were absolutely lovely, friendly, helpful and interesting. Buildings/rooms comfortable, clean and happily not refurbished to be bland and corporate.

Stayed for one night when in the area sightseeing. Room was across the car park - very quirky, four poster bed, very large and clean bathroom and separate little room with settee and tv. Staff were all very polite and helpful. Breakfast was OK, but dinner in the restaurant was a bit of a let down. Very chewy steaks and... More

Hotel nicely situated for Blenhiem Palace, which we were visiting for a concert. Very spacious rooms with all the facilities that you would expect. Very clean and pretty bathroom. We had a very good meal in the lovely restaurant . It had a Portugees influence .also lovely small and quite romantic bar. Lovely garden area with tables. All very quiet.... More

Hotel is located in the high St so easy to find, rooms are dated but comfortable. Breakfast didn't have much to choose from but didn't leave hungry. Great place to lay your head, it's a cosy hotel and great place to stay if visiting the Cotswolds

Good points: Good location, Really helpful reception and bar staff, Good Bar food and drink prices. Bad points: Room required refurb. just looked tired and shower attachment loose. Breakfast is nothing special and finishes at 9am in the week.Toasters require updating seem to take forever. Car parking is very tight. Nice place to stay but could be a lot better.

A lovely Hotel. Staff were really polite, attentive and helpful. Room was more than adequate, instant hot water every day. My only criticism is that the breakfast was cold on both mornings. Staff done their best to replenish but a bit of a nuisance. Plenty of it though.
