We were surprised to learn that Shelly was on vacation when we arrived at Cotland House. However, she left her b&b in the capable hands of her friend Kate. The location on Fulbrook Hill was no more than a five minute walk into the town center. Parking was on site or along the side of the b&b on a quiet... more

We have just spent two months travelling through Western Europe, staying in various types of accommodation. Of all the B&Bs we stayed in Cotland House is our pick. The website is an accurate reflection of what is on offer: (--). We stayed in the Winslett room for one night in this typical stone cottage and we wished that we had... more

My wife and I had a great short break for three nights here - I would strongly recommend it. We had the Superior room, which was very spacious and was good value at £85/night. Shelly was very helpful and the breakfasts were excellent - kept us going well until the evening meal (or a Cotswold Cream Tea!). The house is... more

Stayed here for one night when friends had a wedding in Burford. Shelley was very helpful and made us most welcome. The location is good, just a few minutes walk from Burford, and the house has pretty gardens to the rear. Our room was in the attic, sloping ceilings and a good sized bathroom, but no easy way to shower... more

This is my first review ever and although i would like to keep this place a secret i feel it only fair to the owners that I should let this place get as much attention as it deserves. It is simply wonderful. The room we had was clean, beautifully decorated throughout and romantic without being too over the top. Vases... more

Beautifully presented house and gardens with a wonderful hostess and a great location. Exquisite breakfast and refreshing to find somewhere so welcoming of a lively toddler. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Great family room with curtained anteroom for child's bed. Only disappointment was the small size of the single room in which my mother was staying. Wouldn't hestitate to go back. more

We stayed for two nights recently after reading the reviews here. Cotland House is a lovely place to stay and Shelly is brilliant, gave us loads of info about the area - best places to eat, where to vist etc and her breakfasts are great!! We would definitely stay there again. more

Stayed here for my Birthday and thought it was one of the nicest little B&Bs I have been to. I broke my flip flop getting out of the car and Shelley immediately offered me a pair of sparkly sandals to walk into town with. Now that is customer service - she didn't even mind that I scuffed them a bit... more

Situated in burford ( 5 minute walk outside burford town , very easy to reach ), this was one of our best accomodation of our 3 week stay in England. Great attention to details :we had a dozen white roses in a bowl at our arrival in our room, little fridge outside the room with beer, chocolate, etc. , best... more
