The room was large and comfortable, as was the bed. The room is reached by an outside staircase so one is completely independent. The pub is in very quiet location and breakfast was excellent. I would not hesitate to recommend this B&B to anyone.

My wife and I stayed for 2 nights at the Royal Oak and if one word could describe our stay, it would be 'WOW!!!'. We arrived earlier than the advertised 2pm check in time but as the room was ready we were able to drop our bags off straight away and enjoy a excellent snack in the bar. The hosts,... More

Dog friendly, excellent service, lovely friendly atmosphere and superb food - the steak and ale pie is amazing, full of steak and delicious pastry case. The fish pie was also delicious. We would definitely recommend the Royal Oak for food.

We stayed at the Royal Oak for one night having attended a funeral in Bourton-on-the-water. The young couple who own it with his parents were so welcoming and friendly. A lovely atmosphere in the place. Our room was delightful and perfect for this occasion. Only downside was the dinner menu was very over-priced. The accommodation itself was affordable but sadly... A chance late booking for a group of 11 on a Sunday (booked the week before). We needed some post birthday celebration homely food & we descended on the Royal Oak in Burford. Easy to find, lots of free parking & food to die for. No plate was left clear because the food was fantastic. We tasted both the Sunday... More

We had a lovely week in Burford, staying in a cottage and eating out in the evenings. We nearly missed this old English pub and it turned out to be our best evening. A warm welcome, cosy fire, bit of banter and the most delicious home cooked food you could wish for. When next in the area we will definitely return... More

We had a lovely time in the Cotswolds and Burford is a great little village to stay in and explore. The room itself was nice and cozy with a big comfortable bed, the staff were very friendly and helpful and the food at the pub was very tasty, I recommend trying the burger. All in all and a pleasant stay... More

This is a lovely English pub with rooms. We stayed in the superior room. As the previous guest review stated the bed was large and firm but the room was large enough to take it. We did find it cold at first, it was one degree outside and maybe it was because the previous guests had forced the window. The... More

A good priced place to stay over whilst en-route to London. Such a shame as so many little things fell short of the mark. We paid for a 'Superior' room which looked lovely but the massive bed was far too big for the room and good grief, it was hard! The radiator was extremely dusty and we had to put... More
