Stayed two nights in a lovely, atmospheric and comfortable room at the Highway Inn - friendly service and a lovely meal in the restaurant on Saturday evening (they were very busy but made room for us). Excellent breakfast too.

We had a lovely stay at the Highway Inn last weekend. We arrived after a long drive on Friday evening and received a friendly welcome from the owner, Dan, and a jovial Welshman who was serving behind the bar. Dan showed us to our room, which had real character with beams, an iron bed frame, luxurious bedding, dark furniture, complimentary... More

My wife and I stayed here this week. We had a lovely room in the eaves. The food was superb and the beer excellent. The staff were all very friendly and at the same time efficient. We will certainly be returning in the Spring. Regards, Ross Balaam.

The one night stay using our Amazon voucher was excellent. Very good menu choice and we enjoyed a well prepared evening meal. Breakfast was also excellent. Our bedroom,Upton was on the upper floor and very comfortable. We found all the staff very helpful and friendly. Would not hesitate to visit again. As stated in previous reports the staircase is rather... More

It is very disheartening as an Owner to read a review such as this particularly as readers of Trip Advisor will see that we normally receive 4* and 5* reviews. However we take complaints very seriously particularly when they concern service issues. No excuse for bad service is valid but I would like to offer some explanation. On the day... More

My wife and I and 12 year old lad are travelling through the UK and arrived into Burford at about 5pm on a Saturday after unsuccesfully trying to find accomodation online and by phone. We grabbed a park in the main street and it happened to be in front of the Highway Inn with sign saying "Rooms Available". We went... More
