We stayed in the four poster Burford room for one night.room and bathroom were lovely but the bed creaked a lot and the mattress sank in the middle which was disappointing. Service and food both excellent but quality of bed is important for a good nights sleep so we feel £140 a night is overpriced.

Lovely little hotel. Room a bit small but clean considering it's basic double it's comfy. Menu looks good & staff friendly & helpful. No parking which being a bank holiday is a bit of a nightmare. Drinks and food reasonable prices. Right on high street so once parked very convenient for shop browsing and spending lol

We stayed at The Highway Inn, Burford during a 3-day catch-up visit with old friends & locations from when we lived in the area, 1987 to 1997. We stayed in the quaint, quirky and very charming Fulbrook room overlooking Burford High Street (but it was NOT noisy). The staff were welcoming and friendly, the breakfasts were great and the evening... More

We were visiting Burford for a family wedding and so pleased we chose to stay here. Our room was the Swinbrooke which made us laugh every time we climbed the stairs to reach it. First you go up about 8 stairs then turn a corner, duck as you go under a low ceiling, then down two steps, take a sharp... More

We stayed at the Highway Inn from the 15th to 17th August. This is our 2nd stay here and we will definately stay again. Our room was the Taynton Room at the top overlooking the high street, you have your own private bathroom across the landing together with low beams going up the stairs, it's such a lovely room. The... More

We had a great stay at The Highway Inn. The staff and the family who run it were so warm and welcoming as soon as we arrived. The food was really excellent and our room was full of 15th century charm with lots of lovely touches and a beautiful four poster bed. It felt like we were staying in someone's... More

We were in Burford (beautiful spot) for a wedding, and the Highway Inn's quaint 15th century charm was welcoming and warm. The age of this place is what gives it its special quality, but undulating floor boards and having to crouch in the shower might not be everyone's idea of a wonderful stay - something that is probably hard to... Stayed here for two nights. Very impressive and comfortable accommodation in a stunning family run 15th century inn. The breakfast was very impressive and included some of the finest sausages I have ever experienced! Not to mention the generous slice of black pudding which was frankly awesome. Highly recommended!

Stayed at the Highway Inn, (family owned and run) for 8 nights, using it as our base for touring the Cotswolds. From the moment we arrived until we left we were made to feel welcome-almost part of the family. Very comfortable beds, great food. The guinea fowl was superb and breakfast was a hearty and friendly start to each day.... More

What a find! A random stop on a Monday lunchtime, drawn in on the strength of a chalk board promising a sunny courtyard. The menu was awesome, leaving me in a dilemma as to what to choose. So many delightful options, I was torn between duck and cherry or beef shin pie. The beef won! Served beautifully with a stunning... More
