A great hotel, good service and friendly staff. Food way really good. Burford 4 poster room was large. Would recommend .Great location on the high street. The only problem is not parking at the hotel. But can park on the street. Park across the road from the hotel and there is no time limit.

The burger I had there was excellent in all is part. Perfectly cooked and very tasty, it made me a very satisfied customer. Chips were good, but the quantity wasn’t quite enough, potatoes sure aren’t that expensive and the food a tad pricey, so it would be nice to see the quantity double. Dessert as well are on the small... More

I am delighted you enjoyed your burger. I have been told on many occassions that it is the best burger the diner has ever had. I am sorry you felt there was not enouigh chips with your meal, I can honestly say no one has ever said to me that the portion could be bigger, it is usually the opposite... More

A beautiful, historic building, with friendly, helpful staff, wonderful food and quirky, character filled rooms, but the traffic noise overnight is undeniably bad. During our 2 night stay there, large lorries thundered past at speed all night, the shops opposite had lots of noisy deliveries at 3am, large bins were emptied into bin lorries right under our window first thing.... Stayed for one night on business in the area, lovely and welcoming place to stay in the heart of Burford Top floor room with own bathroom was quirky and comfortable. Truly rustic/antique style hotel. Would definitely return for a longer leisurely stay. Yummy breakfast and very friendly staff.

Stayed here at the beginning of July, during the really hot weather. Lovely quaint traditional pub building, we were in one the attic rooms on the front of the property, with interesting beams to navigate. Quirky but not a problem. Struggled for wifi reception at the time but it was much more pleasant to sit downstairs in the bar enjoying... More

We normally go modern but decided to have a change , it was lovely and quirky the rooms where a little on the small side as we had a travel in the room but we managed . Staff was lovely and friendly and was a very clean place . We went to the zoo which was great value and would... More

Stayed over the weekend 3rd July, and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The greeting was warm and staff very helpful even carrying my elderly mums luggage upstairs. Rooms were clean, tidy and nicely furnished. Breakfast was plentiful even though choice was restricted (as this a set style 1 or 2 ) but was well cooked and tasty. Ate at night also... More

The charming Highway Inn in Burford has been variously covered on Tripadvisor, but although we were not staying there, simply on a day trip to the village, it was notable for the Sunday lunch visit we sampled recently. Unaccountably my own 'must have' Sunday special of roast beef with all the trimmings, advertised on a board in the courtyard, was... More

My parents and I stayed at the Highway Inn June 20-22, 2015, and had a wonderful time. It's a great location on the main street in town, very cute and charming, clean, and well decorated. The staff was welcoming and provided great food. Only word of warning: watch your head when going through low, medieval doorways! :)

We loved the character and charm of the hotel but it is in need of a little TLC. We booked the Burford four poster room as it was a special occasion. The room was lovely and spacious with a very comfortable bed but was let down by the musty smell, missing handles on the wardrobe doors and drawers and a... More
