Friendly staff very helpful as soon as you arrive. No problems during our two night stay. The town is a short walk down hill. Lovely room we stayed in the Reynolds room to the back of the building number four Overlooking golf course with no noise. Would recommend to anyone who wants a stay in the Cotswold area close to... The junior suite at the lodge was spacious and had a good newly refurbished bathroom that was clean and well appointed. The bed was made and new towels when the room was serviced. The manager Mr Hou was very friendly for the duration of our stay and was very attentive to our every needs even to the point of making... More

Not good, needs overhauling. Room ok needed painting. Breakfast fair, a horrible smell of old fat from the kitchen. Huge television in breakfast room, off putting not a good location , out of town. The new owners need to understand British standards of running a Hotel. Breakfast average, decent marmalade would help.

Stayed here for one night. Location is a short walk to the Main Street in Burford. Although it is located on a busy road we could not hear the road noise. There was a damp patch beneath the window and the sash window could not be opened in room 7. There is no wardrobe, just a few hooks which was... More

Arrival was good but be aware the hotel is on the A40 so there is allot of traffic noise. Check in was smooth with a warm welcome and a drink. Room was large and clean interesting bathroom with a very un-disabled bath. Attention to detail was wrong in so many ways with no heating on we had to turn on... More

Hi we stayed at this hotel for one night over Easter weekend. I was disappointed to find it is on a busy and noisy main road. We had a room facing the road and could hear traffic noise. Hardly what I wanted for a romantic, relaxing break in the Cotswolds. Staff were friendly but overall I wish we had booked... More

We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights this Spring. Very convenient for touring the Cotswolds and just a short walk to the village of Burford. The room was comfortable and warm, ensuite well fitted with plenty of hot water. Tea and coffee making facilities were adequate. Breakfast was excellent - tasty fruit salad, selection of cereals and several choices for... More

Well located for short walk into Burford, the downside of this is that the hotel is on the main road (A40) so if you're a light sleeper, be sure to request a quiet room at the back as road noise is an issue. Room comfortable and breakfast OK, could do with a bit of help at busy times as the... More
