We stopped here for Sunday lunch and were not dissapointed. Great local food and great traditional cloudy cider.. Loved it and will certainly be back to visit, probably for a evening meal. Would highly reccommend to anyone looking for a food, drink by the river.

We were just one couple of a pre-booked party (classic car rally referred to in another review!) for lunch on Sunday 15th June. Location for such an event, with reserved car park and separate dining room, was more than we expected. Considering how busy you were the food was served in reasonable time - and it was freshly cooked and... More

My wife and I stopped here for lunch whilst on a tour of the Cotswolds. The pub is a delightful building with lots of character, good parking and a sparkling river running by. Our lunch was good and what we expected and we would certainly return again, our bar lady was very pleasant and helpful. The prices were a bit... More

Went for Sunday lunch, Fathers Day. I rang and booked before hand and even though they had a car rally stopping for lunch there was space. I was pleased as I had looked at the pub's website and it looked lovely and the river setting looked perfect. Unfortunately our experience here not perfect. Food over priced for the portion size,... Our local Cotswold tour guide took us to this scenic country side pub and B & B for lunch. We had a nice table in the back overlooking the stream crossing the property. Food and service was very good. The front old pub area is very charming. If your in the area, it should be a must stop!

Stayed for 2 nights whilst at a friends wedding nearby. Landlord and staff were great, very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast and dinner were lovely, well cooked and clearly using good ingredients. Stayed in one of the pub B&B rooms, it was spacious, well equipped and very clean. Bathroom was spotless and included items such as shower gel, shampoo, conditioner etc..... More

15 of us came for Mother's Day lunch. We have always found the fox a lovely place to drink and eat and it's in a beautiful location, especially when the sun comes out. Upon arrival we were shown to the restaurant, lovely table considering we were a large party. The roast was lovely and everyone really enjoyed their food. However... More

Thank you so much for the lovely comments about the quality of your lunch. We do strive to provide a friendly, but not too over the top, service to our customers. I have never received a bad comment about this particular member of staff before and she's horrified that she was perceived like this. I do know that we all... More

Recently stayed at the fox inn and it exceeded our expectations. The location is exceptional, both in its setting, and it's location as regards to exploring the Cotswolds. The accommodation is rustic, homely, well decorated and romantic. We were extremely happy with our room, but even more delighted when given the opportunity to move to the "Upton" on the second night.... More

We have not been to the Fox for a while. It used to be an unspoiled Cotswold pub with character. It must have got new owners who have spent a lot of money turning it into something else. The setting is lovely, but the interior has been opened up and it was cold and no longer cosy. The plastic flowers... More

Sorry we let you down with your meal, we would gladly have done something to sort out your problems if you had made any comment to us in the pub. Funny enough, I, Paul, the landlord, cleared your table, questioned the bar staff and the chefs about your unfinished food and discussed what was wrong in my eyes. We try... More
