A lovely old hotel on the main street of a picturesque Cotswold small town. What could be better. The public rooms are charming;cool in the heatwave of the last week or so,and they (especially the upstairs salon) looked as if they would be wonderfully comfortable and snug with snow on the ground. The patio was an oasis in the heat,a lovely place... My colleague and I stayed at the Bull for one night to attend a training course nearby. It was a rare treat, lovely rooms, fantastic service and the steaks we had for supper, we agreed, were probably the best we'd ever had. Wished we could stay longer as the town is beautiful. Thank you!

Stayed at The Bull whilst visiting The Royal International Air Tattoo at Fairford 13/14 July. The hotel was excellent. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful and the place was spotlessly clean all round. As a nice touch they served breakfast 1/2 an hour early for those of us wanting to leave early in the morning for the airshow. This... More

We were first time visitors to the Cotswolds and really didn't know what to expect. Reserved two rooms at the Bull - one for our daughters with twin beds and a separate double bed room for us. The girls' room was in a separate annex location out behind the parking lot. It was newer, clean and had a reasonable amount... More

I have read the recent bad review and I would like to add my imput. I was the mother of the groom and I would refute everything that was written in the previous review about the Bull Hotel. We were a wedding party of 36 people and from the moment we arrived we were made very welcome and the service... More

The Bull in Burford is full of history and uneven floors! We loved the atmosphere and found the staff friendly and helpful. The food was excellent so we ate in the restaurant three times. There was a full fish menu alongside the regular menu. The fish platter starter was a meal in itself. Breakfast cereals were a bit limited but... More

This ancient Inn is situated on the High Street, but our worries about noise were unfounded. The staff were friendly and very helpful and our room (The Queen Anne room) while not as grand as the name might suggest was one of the most comfortable hotel rooms we've ever stayed in. It was clean, charmingly furnished with a small but... More

We booked an evening Seafood meal at The Bull as a Groupon deal, how I wish we hadn't. The start was good, the two waitresses were helpful and attentive. We were shown to our table, and as it was a warm summer evening we elected to have a couple of drinks outside while the table was prepared. My wife's had... More

We recently spent a couple of nights at The Bull and our dinner was just as good as the last time, 2 or 3 years ago. Breakfast was excellent with a varied choice of cooked or cold items. Our room was comfortable and quiet. Bathroom showed none of the peculiarities of some other hotels we stayed at on this trip.... More

My wife and I have just spent our 44th wedding anniversary at the Bull in Burford, our first visit there, based on reading many positive online reviews. Everything was, for us, perfection. Our room, refurbished less than 1 year ago, was beautiful. The food was incredible (we ate fish both for the evening and breakfast- fresh each day from Brixham)... More
