The one night stay was very disappointing. The room was very tired and dirty (cobwebs, grubby carpets etc). Dining room was shamoblic at breakfast time. No bread for breakfast ! We were told 'what do you expect at 8.30am on a sunday morning' Owners did not seem to be around - only a chef seemed to be present which added... more

New Landlords, who are young, polite, and very helpful. Its so nice and comforting as they put us first. The room had a Four Poster bed which was very comfortable. We thoroughy enjoyed a relaxing comforting stay and would book again. Well done Chris and Donna (The New Landlords) We wish you every success. more

Just visited the Old Bull Hotel in Burford, Oxford again for the second time. We were welcomed again and they even recognised us from our last visit in November 2006. The food was great and the service was excellent. Our children were made to feel welcome and they catered for my youngest's picky eating habits. Our room was clean, tidy... more

Don't believe the website photos - it's far from reality. Upon arrival, we first shown to our room which was accessed via a hall that was clearly above the kitchen as it reeked of chip fat. In the mornings, my husband and I had to run through it so as not to stink for the rest of the afternoon like... more

We stayed at the Bull just after easter, and felt welcome as soon as we set foot in the place. As the hotel was fairly quiet, we were upgraded to the Trafalgar room, which is a beautiful comfortable well decorated room with a slope - quaint when you are sober, but a challenge if you have had a few beers!!... more

After reading a number of the previous reviews I was nervous booking a night at the Old Bull Hotel for my boyfriend and I but I was very pleasantly surprised. The staff could not have been more helpful, cheerful and welcoming. Compared with prices at some other cotswolds hotels the Old Bull was good value. The food in the restaurant... more

We booked a room here 6 months prior to a wedding in the village. We confirmed two months prior and spoke to the new owner over the phone at this stage. We arrived on the day of the wedding to find that they had double booked our room and had no further rooms availiable. The owner never offered us either... more

We were attending a wedding in Burford but when we got back to our room at 12.30a.m it wasn't ready! The sheets were dirty, the coffee cups had been used, the bins were full and dirty towels were strewn around the bathroom. I had to call a duty manager to get us some clean sheets and it took her an... more
